"Y/n, this is your last chance to prove yourself. And if you fail again, you know what will happen, right?"
"Yes father."
"Good. Now go."
You went out of your father's office and ran to your room. Slamming the door shut, you slid down the door, sobbing quietly.
Being the only child, her father has always been hard on her. Putting more weight than she can hold on her shoulder since she was kid. His reasoning 'I'm helping her to be stronger'. Her father's pressure always made her anxious and that anxiety made her fail every single test that gave her. It's been a year since she graduated with master's in architecture and she had already failed two projects, which she led. This was her third and last chance, if she fails this too, she won't get the company also she'll have to be a wife for a man she never saw.
Y/n had everything. That's what everyone thought about her. It's true though. Her father was owner of a major real estate company, Lee Properties based on South Korea. Her mother was a lawyer. But quit when she married her father. He made her quit. But she was never there for Y/n. She was always busy with having tea and gossiping with other elite ladies, aka wives of other millionaires.
"Miss Y/n." Jeongin, your assistant, who was appointed by your father, knocked on your door. You quickly wiped your teary eyes and opened it.
"Yes Jeongin?"
"Here are the files for tomorrow's meeting."
"Thanks." He scanned your face.
"Miss are you okay?" Even though he was younger than you, he cared a lot about you. He has seen many times how your father treats you.
"Yeah. I'm fine." He knew it was a lie. In an attempt to cheer you up, he passed the pastry bag he had in his hand to you and said:
"You know what, have this. This will cheer you up."
"No, it's fine."
"I actually got it for my brother, you know, both of you love boston cream donut."
"It's fine Jeongin. Give this to your brother."
"I can get some for him on my way back."
"You sure?"
"I'm one hundred percent."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. I'll get going then. Good night."
"Yeah. Good night." You closed the door and went to your balcony. Plopping on your swing chair, you savored the sweet flavored donuts, moaning in satisfaction.

Next morning, you got up earlier than usual, showered and got ready, wearing an off-white blouse with black trousers. You applied some light makeup and tied your hair in a high pony. You grabbed your bag and went out of the room. Jeongin was already waiting for you outside.
"Good morning miss."
"Good morning Jeongin. Is father coming with us?"
"No. He said he have even more important meeting to attend." You let out a sigh of relief. One thing that made you fail every meeting you held was your father's presence. His expectation in you was unrealistic. So, he always held that furious kind of look in his eyes every time you does her presentation, which made your anxiety grow even more and you always end up being a stuttering mess.
The car stopped in front of the Bang Properties, the company they are planning to collaborate for the upcoming project of a luxury apartment. You got out of the car accompanied by Jeongin. A lady, probably in her late 20s, greeted you both and led us to the office of the director. Apparently, the lady, named as Jessie was the assistant of the young Bang, who's to take over the company if this project is successful. You felt a little relief, knowing that he also in the same position as you.
