Han wasn't expecting to fall even harder for you when the company suggested a collaboration with you for their next album title song.
Even though he has seen you several time in distance during award shows and promotional event, seeing you up close made his heart do back flips.
"Let's do that part one more time. This one sounds a little... breathy." Chan instructed after listening to your recorded lines.
"Sure." You took a gulp of water from your bottle and cleared your throat, getting ready to record your part once again.
You softened your voice, focusing on each word so not to make the same mistake again.
Even in my darkest time
Even in my weakest form
You were still there for me
I know... I knowYou didn't notice the pair of eyes planted on you this whole time.
Han was also listening to your voice while you sang. Your harmonious voice, each note a joyous celebration of life. The synergy between your vocals accompanied by instruments making him feel goosebumps. Your medium pitched voice felt like a warm blanket on a cold night, the one he could listen all day.
"That's perfect." Chan gave you a thump up.
"Thank you." You smiled, bowed after and got out of the recording room.
Chan extended you the cup of lukewarm honey ginger tea.
"Thank you."
"Thank him." Chan pointed at Jisung.
"Thank you, Hannie."
Hannie.
"No problem." His cheeks flushed at your nickname.
"Okay, let's take a break." Chan said, gettingup from the spinning chair.
You settled down on the couch and started scrolling through your phone.
"Y/n-ah." Hyunjin called out before seating himself beside you.
"Yes." You looked up.
"We are getting something to eat. What would you like to have?"
"I'm fine with anything." You shrugged.
"Okay." He fished out his phone, opening the food delivery app and ordering fried chicken for everyone.
Han was watching you both with a sulky face. He blamed his social anxiety for not having the courage to come and talk to you alone.
"Done. It'll be here in 15 minutes."
You noticed Han glaring at you both from the corner of your eyes, so you look up, only to see him turning his head to the left, acting as if he wasn't burning holes with his eyes at Hyunjin this whole time.
Smirking to yourself, you called him out. "Hannie. Come sit with us." You moved little to the side and patted the space between you and Hyunjin.
He hesitantly got up and walked towards the couch, sitting in the most babygirliest way.
You threw your right hand over his shoulder. "How are you?"
"I-I'm good. Why do you ask?"
"Just curious." Sensing he wasn't going to get any more attention from you, Hyunjin got up and went to Jeongin, probably to annoy the shit out of him.
And this was the perfect chance.
"So, I heard you have got a crush on me."
His eyes grew wide.
"Wh-who told you that?"
"A little birdy."
Earlier that day, you along with the boys were sitting and chatting in Chan's studio when you noticed Han being awfully quiet. From what you have seen from all the straykids content, he's one of the loudest member. So you decided to ask Chan.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" You walked up to Chan when you got him alone.
"Sure. What is it?"
"Are you guy all... comfortable with me... being here?"
"Of course. Why do you ask?"
"It's just... everyone except Han is talking. So...?"
Chan started to laugh all of a sudden, while you looked at him dumpfounded.
When he finally calmed down, you asked: "Okay, why were you laughing?"
"Y/n-ah," He held both of your shoulder. "Gosh, Han is going to kill me if he finds out I threw him under the bus."
"What are you talking about?"
"That kid likes you."
"As in...?"
"Yeah."
You smiled at him. Afterall, you would be lying to yourself if you said THE 4th gen ace never caught your eyes.
He glared at Chan, who had no idea about what you both were talking about.
"Hey, easy there. He still your hyung."
He took a deep breath. "I-I'm sorry. I can- it's jus- "
"Shhh," You put your finger against his lips, making his squirrel cheeks turn pink. "So, wanna grab a coffee with me later?"
