It was the evaluation day. To say you were nervous was an understatement. You whole body was feeling like burning. All you wanted was this to be over.

JYP was known for his harsh criticizing. He could crush anyone's dream with few words. And it's being your first evaluation since you joined the company two months before was not making it any easier.

"Y/n. Calm down. It'll be okay." Changbin said, while patting your shoulder.

"Easier said than done Binnie."

"You'll be fine, don't worry." He patted your shoulder once again and walked away. He was already done with his evaluation and has secured his place in the company.

As if it's easy.

"Hwang Yeji." Your trainee friend was called on stage. She looked at you and you gave a thump up.

Suddenly a boy, around your age, flopped down beside you. You looked at him and realized it was Han, a well-known trainee and Changbin's friend.

"Hi." He extended his hands. You shyly took his hands. "I'm Han."

"I know you. I'm Y/n."

"Actually, I know you too. Changbin might have said a word or two about you. And I have seen you with him sometimes."

"I hope it was all good things."

"Don't worry. All good things." He took your hands in his, slowly drawing circles in the back of it, which for some reasons calmed your nervousness.

"That's a relief."

"So, how's everything going? I mean, not here, but in school or home?"

"Schools alright. History as always boring. And maths is actually damaging my brain. And at home... everything is good except my annoying brother."

Little did you know this was all his little tricks to ease your mind and distract you from the evaluation for a moment. He has been watching you since you entered the room. And as a person who easily get anxious, he understood how you were feeling from the way you were rubbing your hands together and bouncing your legs.

"How have you been?" You asked. For some reasons, talking with Han felt like talking with someone you know for years. Conversation was easily flowing, without any awkwardness.

"Nothing much. Eat, study, train, sleep and repeat the cycle. Our life is so boring, isn't it?"

"I know right. Same thing every single day. How long have you been training?"

"I have been training since 2014."

"Really? That's a long time." You said in disbelief.

"Yeah. How do you and Changbin know each other?"

"He's my neighbor actually. So, we know each other since we were kids."

"Wah, I'm jealous." You laughed at his response.

"Kim Y/n." You heard your name being called. Suddenly, you were aware about the evaluation which you forgot for a moment. And the realization drained all the color form your face.

"Hey." Han called out to you, still holding your hands. "Relax. It's not the end of the world. Okay?" You nodded. "I promise to treat you ice cream if you ace this evaluation. What do you say?" His attempt to lift your mood brought a smile to your face. "I'm in." "Okay now go and break a leg." "Thanks." You smiled once more and walked towards the stage.

-

"HAN JISUNG." You yelled and burst into the 3racha studio, startling everyone in the room. "I passed the evaluation." You said with a big smile on your face and tackled in down on the couch, hugging him. He was frozen for a moment but hugged you back.

"I knew you'd pass."

"Now come on. Let's go and get the ice cream." You said and pushed him up. You haven't noticed the other two people in the room, who were watching you both with a sly smile plastered on their face. You startled when you turn around. Their eyes travelled down to your intertwined hands. You quickly pulled out your hand.

"Binnie, Chan sunbenim, hello." You bowed.

"How come you're calling him sunbenim but not me?" Changbin asked.

"Oh, shush."

"Hello y/n. And congratulations." Chan patted you on the shoulder.

"Thank you, sunbenim."

"You get a new friend and you forgot about your old friend? Not good Y/n." Changbin crossed him arms and started sulking.

"I didn't okay."

"Yeah, you did."

"If you think so, I'm extremely sorry." You said and went in for a hug.

"That doesn't feel sincere." He said and hugged you back. "I told you; you'll be fine. And see, you passed." "One evaluation down, more to come." "Don't be pessimistic." You laughed and pulled away.

Chan cleared his throat and asked Han something which made you both turn beet red. "So, you and Y/n? Are you... like... together?"

"Wh-what hyung? N-no. We're just... friends."

"That isn't so convincing." Changbin crossed his arms.

"But th-that's the tru-truth." You said in an attempt to convince them but failed miserably.

"I won't buy your lies Y/n."

"Let's get out of here before this both start with their shenanigans." Han leaned in and whispered in your ear, which gave you goosebumps.

"Okay."

"Hyung, I'll be back later." He said and pulled you along with him.

"Enjoy lovebirds." Changbin yelled which once again made you and him turn red.
