You weren't expecting a crimson tide when you woke up from your afternoon nap. A shooting pain in your lower abdomen made you double over.
"Shit, why it has to be today?"
Felix, your boyfriend has planned a movie date with you today. You both have been seeing each other for the past 3 weeks and everything felt right. He was the sweetest guy you ever dated. A total sunshine boy. His smile could heal the world. And you believed everyone needs a Felix in their life.
But one thing that your past relationships has taught you, is to see how they would react to you getting your periods to see if they really are the one. You had two relationships in the past and both of them would not come and see you when you're on your periods. And none of it lasted for more than six months.
Now you were even more scared to cancel your date with Felix, afraid he would react the same. You didn't want to lose him, it would such a loss. It's been only three weeks, but you were getting attached to him. But you decided to say the truth anyway. You sent him a quick text saying that you got your periods.
Seeing his reply that it's okay, you sighed. Throwing your phone somewhere on the bed, you curled up in a ball, trying to ease the throbbing pain.
You didn't realize how long you have been twisting and turning in the bed, trying all the weird positions, in hopes of minimizing the pain you were feeling.
The sound of doorbell going off made you whine, but you still got up and walked out.
Looking through the peep hole, you were surprised to see your boyfriend standing outside, looking eagerly at your door.
Felix?
You slowly opened the door.
"Felix? Hi?" You said, a little unsure.
He flashed you his million-dollar smile. "We couldn't go out. But I wanted to see you. So, I decided to come over." You moved to the side, letting him in.
"I made some chocolate brownies; I have heard chocolate is good for period cramps." He walked into the kitchen, setting down the container he had in his hand on the countertop.
You were watching him with a surprised face. No one has ever treated you this way before. So, you didn't know how to react.
"Urm... Thanks?"
"It's fine. Where do you keep your table wares?"
"I-in the bottom left drawer." He opened it, taking out plates, as if he was already familiar with the place. He placed the equally cut brownie pieces in the plate and walked into the living room.
He looked at you with wide eyes, seeing you still stand in the hallway.
"Oh, I'm sorry. You probably want to rest... and I just came, making a fu- "
"No, no. It's fine."
His eyes lit up. "Really?" You nodded.
"I thought I was crossing a boundary. Thank God." He sighed before taking your right hand.
"If we can't go to the movies, we can watch it from here. Come on."
Felix led you towards your couch, keeping the plate of brownies on the coffee table. He took the remote controller and played a rom-com movies.
Seating himself, he tapped between his legs, motioning you sit. "Let's cuddle."
You slowly sat down, still unsure, his one hand wrapping around your waist and the other hand taking the plate of brownies.
"Let me feed you." He removed his hand from your waist and took a piece of brownie, holding it in front of your mouth.
"Say ahhh." He was treating you like a kid, and you were enjoying it. You have never seen this side on a guy, and it was making you emotional for no specific reason.
You took a bite, and it instantly melt in your mouth, making your eyes widen.
"You like it?" "I love it."
He smiled. "Thank you."
He fed you all the pieces by himself, occasionally saying how cute you were looking when getting fed, making your heart race.
"You got some on your lips." He took a tissue paper and slightly dabbed on your lips. "All gone." He once again smiled at you in the sweetest way possible, as if the amount of sugar you consumed wasn't enough.
You finally relaxed in his arms, laying on his chest. His hands slowly going inside your shirt, slowly rubbing your lower belly.
"Does it hurt a lot?" He asked in a deep low voice.
"Periods?"
"Mhm."
"It does. It feels like someone is hammering a hundred nails on your abdomen at the same time."
"Oh my." He gave you an apologetical smile.
None of you were paying any attention to the movie that was playing. You mind was clouded with the thought of how much of caring you were getting from this guy while he thought about what he could do to ease the pain of the girl in his arms.
All of a sudden, you were getting so emotional, that tears started to run down your cheeks, blame the hormones.
Hearing you sniffle, he looked over at you.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Felix, you have no idea how happy I'm. I... was never treated this way. You're just... so caring and loving. You're an angel Lixie." You said between sniffles.
"Don't say that. I'm just doing what I should be. You deserve this."
"Thank you so much."
"Don't thank me, my angel." He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
You have no idea what possessed you. You were not the kind of person who initiate the kiss. But then again, blame the hormones.
You crashed your lips on his, pulling him closer by his neck. He was surprised at your sudden change in mood, but still kissed you back. It was a slow but passionate kiss, pouring all the things that you couldn't say with words. His hands were caressing your bare waist, while your hands found its way to his blonde hair. You could feel him smile into the kiss.
Suddenly he pulled away, laughing. You looked at him with confusion written all over your face.
"I- I'm so sorry for laughing. It's just... you were crying. But the next second, you are kissing me. I'm sorry." He said between laughing.
Your face flushed. "It's just... my hormones are on peak and... I'm sorry, I don't... know."
"Hey, hey, hey." He cupped your cheeks. "Don't apologize. It happens. I know." You nodded, giving him a small smile.
Both of you bursting into a fit of laughter afterwards.
