The soft rays of sunlight filtering in through the open curtains, like the brush strokes of an artist, caressing and highlighting the details of the room. It is as if the sun is an artist itself, revealing the beauty and complexity of every object in this room, bringing out its true essence.
As the couple lies in bed, bodies intertwined in a tangled mess of limbs and skin, together in a way that seems impossible for comfort, yet each seems unwilling to let go of the other, as if they have long forgotten the physical boundaries that keep most people apart. Their faces portray a pure sense of comfort and bliss. They seem almost as one being, caught in a realm of pure comfort and tenderness. The only sound to break the peace is the gentle rise and fall of their breathing, syncing in a harmony of togetherness.
As the sun's rays filter in through the curtains, Felix stirs from his sleep. The light is soft and gentle, caressingly warm as it floods over his closed eyes. He opens them slowly, almost reluctantly, and the first thing he sees is the face of you pressed up against his chest. The sunlight brings out the underlying red tones of your brown hair, which spills so gracefully across the pillows. He reaches up to brush a few strands away from your forehead, enjoying the softness of your skin.
His gaze fell upon you, who still remains asleep, his smile grows wider. It seems as if it's the only reaction he can manage, the sight of you, so calm, so beautiful, so serene. He takes in all the features of your sleeping figure. From the lingering smell of your body lotion to your soft snores, from your delicate curves of your ear to your faded acne scars, from the softness of your hair to the slight chap of your lips from sleep. Oh, how he loved you!
"Sweetheart..." His voice deep yet soft. He started to smother your face with kisses in hopes of waking you up. As the gentle kisses sweep across your face, you slowly begin to regain consciousness. Your eyes flutter for a moment, a light blush creeping up your cheeks as you feels the warmth of your beloved's lips on your skin. Felix was also blushing, a little self-conscious about having stirred you awake, but unable to resist the urge to kiss you. "Wake up..."
You smile gently at him, not quite fully awake. With the sleepiness still lingering, you whispered, "Good morning," your voice tinged with the drowsiness of the morning, before curling back into his arms and closing your eyes again and he immediately tightened his hold around your frame.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to waking up next to you." He whispers back.
