It was an ordinary evening, but without the usual teasing and joking around. It has been like this for the past couple of months, dinner together for the sake of it. Even the moon seemed like it got bored of you two. It was hiding behind the dark clouds, which was threatening to pour down any moment.

What went wrong?

You had no idea. All you knew was that you both were drifting apart. Soon enough, it will fall, shattering into pieces.

"How's work?"

A mere attempt to spark a conversation.

"It's good." He replied. "How's yours's going?"

"Nothing new, just new day comes and goes." He hums in response.

Both of you didn't say anything afterwards.

When dinner was over, you both took you plate and cutleries and walked into the kitchen. He was about to wash the dishes when you stopped him.

"I'll do the dishes."

"Okay." He dried his hands and went out of the kitchen, towards your shared bedroom. Your eyes followed his retreating figure until he disappeared behind the walls.

He wasn't like this. He would insist on doing the dishes since you are the one who cooks every night. And if you don't give up, he would keep you company until you're done, no matter how tired he is. But now...

After doing the dishes, you walked into the room, getting your pajamas from the wardrobe and walked into the bathroom. You did your skin care routine after changing into your pajamas.

You laid down on the right side if the bed, facing the other side. Seungmin was still scrolling through his phone. No good night, no kisses, no cuddles. You both were becoming more and more like roommates with each passing day.

You tried to stop your mind from thinking about it too much. When it became unbearable, you sat up, which caught his attention.

You turned towards him.

"Seungmin."

No Minnie or Mong mong. He realized this was going to be a serious talk.

He knew you both were falling apart. But he didn't do anything, or rather he didn't know what to do. Was he falling out of love? Absolutely not. How could someone fall out of love with such a lovely girl like her. But sometimes, love is just not enough.

"Yes?"

"Can we talk?"

He turned his body towards you.

"Sure."

"What is happening to us?"

He took a deep breath. "I... don't know."

"What went south, Seungmin? We weren't like this."

"I know Y/n. I know we have been drifting apart. But... I just don't know... why." The lump in his throat was growing bigger and bigger.

Your eyes started to brim. With so much effort, you spit out the words that you both were afraid to say out loud.

"I don't see... the point in continuing this... if this if how... we are going to be."

Tears started to run down his cheeks as you said those words. He couldn't do anything but nod. Three years of relationship ended for some unknow reason.

"Can I... kiss you, one... last time?" You nodded.

It didn't even take a second for him to cup your cheeks and attach his lips on yours. The kiss was slow, painstakingly slow, pouring in all the unsaid words and touches. Tears running down both of your cheeks, mixing with each other's. It shattered his heart that he was never going to enjoy your kiss again.

Why didn't he do anything? Why didn't he even tried to fix things? WHY? But it was already late.

The night was pouring down as well, just like their eyes.

Next day, he woke up alone in his bed. His hand traveling to the right side, to feel it empty and cold, a single drop of tear rolling down his cheek.
