Inspired by 'Hold On'- lyrics by Han, sung by Seungmin. It came out a few hours ago. Made me fricking cry.

Tears continue dripping as I was hugging my dog, not wanting to let go.

"Miss, it's time."

Flashback

I was walking around the adoption center. There were so many puppies to choose from. They all look so cute and huggable. My parents finally agreed to adopt a dog after years of pleading. They would always reply me with "You're not old enough" or like "You are not ready for such a big responsibility". But finally when I finished high school, they took me to a nearby adoption center the following next day as a 'well done gift' for finishing school and finally entering adulthood. Now here I am trying to pick the perfect dog. I don't know what my requirements are, but I'll probably feel it when I see it. We were looking for 15 minutes when I finally came across one special pup. He was hiding in the corner of the place unlike other dogs who came to me. I went towards it and bent down to meet his eye level. The small puppy was the size of my palm, and it's hands covered it's mouth as it was lying on the floor, as if it was covering it's mouth. I lowered my hands to pet it. It flinched at first but after a few more pets, it got used to it. It slowly looked up to meet my gaze, it's face finally visible to me for the first time. It's eyes staring at me as if it's thanking me for giving it pets. I smiled and kissed it's forehead gently. I started to notice a tiny swing in it's tail. Not a full one, but a noticeable one.

"Mom, Dad. I think I found the one."

I glanced up to YN who was hugging me tightly. I never seen her this sad. My 18 years of life was spent with her, and I love her with all my heart. Is she ok? Please talk to me! I made a small sound in the midst of her crying, and she loosened me a bit.

"Remember the time you first gave me your paw? I still remember jumping around with excitement and you looked so confused. Even though you have grown old, you still are willing to place your paw on my hand when I have a treat"

Yes I definitely remembered that! I finally understood your commandment! I don't know why you teared up, but seeing you happy made me happy.

"This place, where the only thing that used to greet me was the front door, but after you came along, I look forward to coming back home to someone waiting for me. You ran towards me with all your might, wagging your tail."

Yes! I missed you when you weren't home! I would run around to world to find you again no matter where you were!

"Miss, please follow me inside. It is time."

I perked up to the sound of a stranger. YN picked me up and carried to a strange room. After I was placed on a cool metal table, YN wrapped her arms around me, once again crying her heart out. YN stop crying! What is going on? Why are you crying?

I felt a prickle enter my back that lasted for a few seconds before being pulled out from my skin. I had to be brave for YN so I didn't make any sound. I felt my eyes starting to grow heavy as I close my eyes. Why am I falling asleep? Stay awake for YN! But I guess a small nap won't hurt.

"One day, when I walk the same path you are going to walk, would you meet me at the end?"

Of course YN! I will wait for you no matter how long you are out!

I slowly allowed myself to lose consciousness as I enter the state of deep sleep. I'll see you when I wake up, it's just a few hours of sleep! I love you YN!

His breaths became more slower as minutes flew by, and soon enough I couldn't wake him up. My eyes were watery as I looked at the motionless dog.
