The tense silence was shattered by a booming voice at the doorway. The maid opened the door to reveal a vsitor.

"Bhaiya!"boomed the voice, immediately grabbing everyone's attention.

"Sataan, that's what I was thinking, she didn't smell yet", Aarav rolled his eyes, muttering a curse under his breath. Nishant spared glare on him.

"Ah, that explains the frosty atmosphere this morning," Rooh mumbled, earning a high five from a snickering Aarav. Nishant, however, shot them both a disapproving look.

"Nonsense," Tripal fumbled, "we were just waiting for you."

"Thank you, bhaiya Don't worry, I know you all adore me deep down." Sejal smirked, spreading butter on her toast

"How is your family, Sejal? And Sujeet?" Manish, who had been quiet until now, finally spoke.

They're fine."Sejal shrugged nonchalantly. "

Aarav, unable to resist a dig, chimed in, "So, what brings you here, dear aunt? Not the wedding invitation you clearly missed, right?", Sejal glared at him.

"Unlike some of you, I wasn't invited to Ved's wedding. But that won't stop me from seeing my dear Ved's wife." Her gaze fell on Rooh.

"And what might your name be, my dear?" Sejal inquired, her tone dripping with condescension.

Before Rooh could answer, Aarav jumped in, "Rooh Maheshwari."

"Oh, and what was your name before you acquired that fancy title?" Sejal pressed.

Aarav, clearly enjoying her discomfort, replied, "Mittal. Rooh Mittal.", Sejal's jaw clenched.

"Are you Rooh, or are you not answering for yourself, girl? Don't you have a voice?" Sejal said raising the brows.

"Nope myself Aarav Maheshwari", Aarav again interrupted with grin.

Ignoring the barb, Rooh simply nodded.

"I heard this is your second marriage," Sejal announced, a sly smile playing on her lips. The room fell silent, everyone's eyes fixed on Rooh.

"Yes, that's right, bua ji," Rooh replied politely. The smile on Sejal's face widened.

"And why was the first one necessary? Was your previous husband not as wealthy as us?"  Her words dripped with mockery.

Before Rooh could respond, Ved interjected, "Her first marriage ended due to infidelity."Sejal scoffed.

"These youngsters today are so fragile! A little difficulty, and they run away. Marriage is about compromise."

Rooh, stung by Sejal's words, excused herself from the table without a word. Ved started to follow, but Sejal stopped him.

"Where are you going, Ved? You haven't finished your breakfast. It's been barely a few days, and you're already neglecting us?"  Her words dripped with venom.
