Eight months of pure bliss had filled the Maheshwari household. The grandparents spent most of their time with their granddaughter-in-law, regaling them with stories of their younger days.  Karuna and Saraswati, were equally excited about becoming grandmothers, as were their husbands. But no one's joy could match Aarav and Ananya's. Ananya would spend hours with her sisters-in-law, chatting and taking care of them. Karuna and Saraswati made new dishes for them every day, sharing stories about their own pregnancies, the mood swings they faced, and how they overcame them. Some "innocent" gossip was thrown in for good measure by the ladies. Ved and Nishant, bursting with excitement, had practically bought out the entire toy store.

"Bhai, going somewhere?" Ved asked, descending the stairs.

"Yeah, the doctor called Preeti for a check-up," Nishant replied.

"Okay, let me come with you," Ved offered. They both nodded and headed out together.

Narayan, Swastika, and Karuna accompanied Aashram to donate cloths and other living stuff to kids.

"Maa, enough for today" Rooh complained.

"Just a little more, last one" Saraswati said requesting. Rooh nodded meekly and swallowed  bite.

"Bhabhi!" A voice called from the doorway. Both women turned their heads. Rooh watched as Sejal slowly approached and fell at their feet.

"Please forgive me, Bhabhi," Sejal pleaded. Saraswati and Rooh exchanged a confused glance. Rooh gave a slight nod.

"Stand up, Sejal. Tell us what happened," Saraswati said gently.

"I'm so sorry, Bhabhi. Because of my stupid plans, our family faced such a difficult time. Please forgive me, Rooh," Sejal said, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Stop crying," Saraswati patted Sejal's back comfortingly.

"I missed the entire beautiful journey of your and Preeti's pregnancies because of my mess," she confessed, her voice thick with regret. Rooh exchanged a glance with Saraswati.

"It's alright, bua ji. There are still a few weeks left. I'll talk to Dada ji and see if he let you stay here." Rooh said placing the tray, Saraswati nodded in decision.

"Maa, I think I'll take a walk in the garden for a bit," she announced, pushing herself up carefully.

"Of course, beta. But please be careful, and take Shanti with you." Saraswati. Rooh chuckled.

"Maa, it's our own garden. Relax, I'm not going anywhere."

"Don't tease me, Rooh," Saraswati said sternly, Rooh chuckled and left, Shanti trailing behind her. Sejal saw this as her opportunity.

"Bhabhi, I was thinking... why don't you both visit the Gauri Maa temple? I heard that if a pregnant woman prays there on the 12th day of the 8th month, the family will be blessed with a happy, healthy, and cheerful child. The mother will also receive blessings." Sejal's words planted a seed of doubt in Saraswati's mind.
