"Good morning everyone," Ved said with his usual cheer, but the room was silent.

"Umm, good morning Ved. We were just waiting for you both," Tripal finally said. Ved and Rooh took their seats, a sense of unease settling in.

"What happened, Chachu? Is everything alright?" Ved asked, concern etching his features.

"Yes, everything's fine, we wanted to talk about Nishant's marriage again." Manish. Rooh and Ved's eyes widened in surprise.

"Bhai, you didn't tell me anything about this," Ved exclaimed.

"I just found out myself," Nishant sighed, a shadow crossing his face.

"And he's not exactly agreeing with us," Tripti added.

"I don't want to get married," Nishant declared, his voice firm. "Not anymore."

"But why, Nishant? We know what happened to you, but you need to move on and start your life again with a partner," Narayan, the family patriarch, said gently.

"Dada ji, I can start that alone, actually I have," Nishant stated, a flicker of determination in his eyes. "And I'm okay like this."

"But beta, everyone needs a partner in life," Saraswati, his mother, chimed in.

"Yes, and you did seem to like that lady," Rooh blurted out excitedly, causing everyone to stare at her.

"Which lady?" Manish questioned, his brows furrowed.

"Haha, I'm just joking! I don't know any lady," Rooh mumbled, looking down at her lap.

"Why didn't you spilled tea", Aarav leaned closer to her and whispered,

"We can't be sure if he really likes her. A smile doesn't necessarily mean love." Rooh whispered back.

"We're not forcing you, Nishant...It's your life. But think about us, too. We all want you to be happy again, not sitting alone in this house."

"Yes, Manish is right. Please consider it, Nishant," Narayan echoed.

"Fine, if you all think this is the right thing for me, then I'm ready."With a heavy sigh, Nishant finally conceded.
Relief washed over the faces of the others.

"Aarav baba, looks like your prediction was wrong," Rooh whispered teasingly.

"Impossible! I'm just going to cast a little black magic. She's the perfect sister-in-law for me," Aarav countered smugly.

Ved overheard their conversation and playfully smacked Aarav on the head.
"Doll hai kya jo pink wali he chahiye", he taunted.

The Maheswari household buzzed with activity as they prepared for the arrival of the Khurana's. Nishant adjusted his clothes nervously, a knot of apprehension tightening in his stomach.
