"What are you doing here?" A male voice growled.
Rouge turned around to the see large echidna standing in front of her.
"Oh my, no one told me about the handsome man up here." Rouge smiled.
Knuckles raised a brow but other than that he didn't have any reaction towards Rouge's comment.
"Get off my island bat." Knuckles said Crossing his arms.
"Well nice to me you too, I'm Rouge." She put her hand out for an handshake.
Knuckles looked down at her hand. "Knuckles,.. Knuckles the echidna. Guardian of the master emerald." He shook her hand.
"Well, it's a nice emerald you have there." Rouge said she walked up to it.
. "DON'T touch it." Knuckles growled getting in front of the emerald.
Rouge put her hands up. "Ok then I won't touch it "
There was a silence between the two for a bit. "Do you ever leave this island?" Rouge asked.
Knuckles looked at her then looked back at the emerald. "Hardly, I leave if Eggmans starting things or if Sonic and Tails need any help."
Rouge laughed a little. "What's amusing about that?" Knuckles asked.
"Nothing really it's just I've heard about you and seen small glimpses of you but seeing you up close is a lot different than I expected. You're quite cute if I say so myself."
He blushed a little not enough for Rouge to notice. "Hm well what have you heard about me?" Knuckles asked.
"hm well Sonic told me that you're a little stubborn but you get the job done. Shadow has told me all kinds of things not just about you more of Sonic. But Shadow says that you're a little quiet but strong, not as strong as him he says " Rouge said.
Knuckles leaned against the emerald. "Well I have to go, I guess I'll see you tomorrow Knuckie.". Rouge winked and flew off.
"Wait, what?" Knuckles mumbled. Knuckie? .
Knuckles brushed past that thought and sat against the emerald, looking at the sky as the bat flew away.
