Koshi stands patiently as he waits for his father.
All of a sudden he is handed over many gifts. A flower? He doesn't accept it. A bar of chocolate? He doesn't want that either. A teddy bear? He grabs it and hugs it, trying to be mad, but breaks out into small giggles at the sight of his tall father, still in his cop uniform in a silly birthday hat for him.
"Hi..." he breathlessly said at his son, leaving down on the railing next to them. His son then starts to walk away, and Daichi almost slips off the railing.
"Agh! Koshi!" He calls after his son.
"Koshi please, Koshi listen to me, Koshi! Koshi!" Daichi pleads, running after his son.
He finally catches up and grabs his sons wrist, prompting him to stop.
"I'm only," he checks the small watch his son had on wrist. "Oh...I'm...two hours late." He realized why his son was mad.
"Right!" His son said, his small face painted with a frown.
"Ok I'm sorry! But I was busy!" He tries to argue with this son. Soon realizing it's pointless to argue with a 7-almost 8 year old.
"Well dad! I was busy as well, you know today, I didn't even watch TV!" He exclaims.
"Ah..." his dad tries not to laugh at his complaint.
"Because I had to meet you here." He keeps complaining.
"This is too much! I can't keep working beside you, I'm just your kid!" He yells. Be then quickly backtracks, seeing the disappointment on his dads face.
"Why...if I can be both, your mom and dad, why can't you help out..? Ok!" He then snatched the teddy bear out of his child's hands and plays around with it.
Koshi starts to pull on his arm, half trying to get the bear back, but half wanting to apologize to his dad.
"No!" Daichi says as he feels the small pull of the child.
After trying several times, he finally crouches down to the child's height.
"What." He pretends to be annoyed at the kid.
"Did I make you sad...?" The little boy asks, with a look that was almost on the brink of tears.
"A little." Daichi quietly says.
"Sorry..." the child holds out his hand. Koshi and his dad had their own secret handshake that they did.
"Ok." Daichi agrees and they do their handshake.
