Reunion

With Daichi:

Daichi sat in his office, in his house, alone as he read over Koshi's letter for the 10th time.

He then starts to roll around out of boredom, deciding to listen to the recordings people sent him.

He clicks the button and rolls off.

"Hey Dai~ I'm having a party, you should totally come." A sultry woman voice came out of the machine.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Daichi could not give two fucks and threw his shoe at it to flip to the next message.

"Dad...achoo!" A small voice cries and then sneezes. Daichi's ears perked up. Koshi was sick?! Not on Dadchi's watch!

He caught all the next busses to Tokyo and tried to make it to the summer camp. No way was his baby going to get sick without him there.

He finally makes it to the camp and runs in to find Koshi.

He finds all the kids in one hall and yells out Koshi's name to find him.

Koshi whips his head around and smiles, but to Daichi's surprise, someone else lifted their head at the call of their name.

Daichi's eyes go wide and his jaw drops when he sees who is with his son.

No way...was that, Sugawara?!

They slowly approach each other, at a loss for words.

"H-h-hi!" They both say, breathlessly, to each other.

They don't know whether to do their old handshake or hug, they end up doing neither.

"I-it's been so long." Daichi finally manages to say.

"I-it has." Suga stutters out.

They stand awhile, in an awkward silence before leaving each other.

Suga finally realizes the sad truth. Yui was dead. Little Koshi had days that HIS MOM was with Him, and if Daichi was his dad, then...

Suga silently cries when he figures it out. She may have gotten Daichi, but he never could find a place in his heart to hate her. She found herself feeling the same, which is why her son was named after him.

In the evening, Daichi is outside the cabin where Koshi is, looking at the stars before Suga joins him. Just like old times.

They look at each other and silently laugh. Then it goes silent again.

"I am very sorry about Yui..." Suga finally breaks their awkward silence.

"You left me when I needed a friend the most..." Daichi says silently.

"D-did you ever stay in touch with the team after I..." Suga can't bring himself to finish his sentence. Daichi nods.

"All of your team ships came true." Daichi jokes and laughs. Suga laughs along with him before it goes silent again.

"Why did you leave?" Daichi finally asked
"Y-you just up and moved, did give us any heads up. And no contact after that."

"I had to Daichi...I-" He was about to say that he was heartbroken and loved him, but he didn't.

"Well at least I saw you again." Daichi gets up and stretches.

"Good night, Daichi." Suga says before he leaves.

"Good night, Suga." Daichi replied before leaving as well.

After they left, little Koshi appears from behind and face palms

"This is going no where!"

He goes to find his grandmother.

"How did it go?" She asked the boy.

"Horrible, GoOd nIgHt, DaIcHi, gOoD nIghT SuGa!" He mocks them.

"Ugh what do we do." They both yell.

"I know! We seek answers from above!" His grandmother suggested.

"Ugh..." Koshi needed a real plan.

All of a sudden a volleyball rolls next to his feet.

"Oh...thanks." He gives the sky a finger gun.
