Chapter 26
Julie's POV:
It's been about a week since we had fun at the park with Valentine. We've had so much fun over the time our parents have been gone but to be honest, I missed them to death. They were finally coming home today. Oliver and I sat on he front porch of the house, anxiously waiting for our parents arrival. The car finally pulled into the driveway and we ran to greet them. We all said hello and gave each other hugs. "Did you two stay out of trouble while we were gone?" Henry questioned us. Oliver smiled, probably thinking about all of our time together. "For the most part," he responded, chuckling. Our parents laughed and then I decided to break the news. "We might have...uh...gotten a dog." I mumble under my breath. "What?" My mom and Henry say in unison. "Don't worry, you'll love her. She's adorable." I defend, leading them into the house through the front doorway. Valentine came running up as soon as we entered. I picked her up and handed her to mom. "Awww," she exclaimed. "You were right, she is adorable!" We went in the kitchen and talked about their trip while my mom obsessed over the dog. They went upstairs to go unpack and I decided to go upstairs as well, to go take a nap. Oliver stayed downstairs and watched some tv. Once I got into my room, I closed my door, got into bed and fell into a deep sleep.
*********
I woke up to someone snoring in my ear. I opened my eyes to see Oliver practicality lying on top of me, fast asleep. I looked around my room. My door was open. Oh no. "Oliver!" I whisper-screamed, in an effort to wake him up. He slowly opened his eyes and looked down at me. "How did you get in here?" I questioned him. "I took the balcony, why?" "The door is fucking wide open! Was it like that when you came in?!" "Oh no, I remember it was shut when I came in." He said nervously. Shit. "Our parents saw us sleeping together. They must have opened the door, if it wasn't you. I specially remember it being shut." I said, overwhelmed. Oh my god, they have to know something is up now. I felt tears streaming down my face as I started to panic. "What are we going to do?" Oliver mumbles trying to wipe the tears from my face. "We...we need to stop this. This is so stupid, we can't risk it anymore." I started sobbing harder as I prepared myself for what I was about to say. "We should...st-start seeing other people." I tried to push out before I ran out of the room and into the bathroom. This is it. It needs to happen. It needs to be over.
