Chapter 2:
It was now 6:00 PM on the dot. The doors open and I, leading the bridesmaids begin walking down the aisle. I look up and the first thing I see is Oliver smiling back at me. I smile back. He winks and my smile grows wider, carefully stepping to make sure I don't tip over. I get to my spot and patiently wait. Oliver and I keep exchanging glances from across the altar. Eventually, my mother arrives to the altar. I get tears in my eyes as I see tears form in her eyes. Let's just say, I ended up crying, and Henry and my mom ended up married. And then it was reception time. At our table sat, my mom, Henry, Oliver, me, my moms best friend Rose, and her husband Gary. We all took our seats at the table, Oliver on my left, my mom on my right. I felt a hand rest on my left leg and I looked up at Oliver. "So, Jules, tell me." I crease my eyebrows into a confused look. "What are the living arrangements? Are we roomies? Neighbors?" I look into his crystal blue eyes. "Well, Olly boy, the roomies thing is not happening. There are five other bedrooms you could stay in. The one next to mine has a balcony, walk in closet, and it's own bathroom. So, with your choice in the matter, you will most likely be my neighbor." I finished with a large breath. "Do you have a balcony on your room?" He asks me as I look back up to him after fiddling with my napkin in my lap. "Yes. In fact, the balconies connect." I state. "Oh wow sweet. I will be visiting a lot." He says excitedly. "I sure hope" I laugh and roll my eyes at him.I comfortable silence rested upon us as I noticed that his had still laid where he had placed it on my lap a few minutes ago. Suddenly, I feel his breath against my neck as he whispers in my ear. "I noticed you crying during the service. Caught up in the romance?" I turned to him and our faces were suddenly nearly touching. "Uhh, yeah..." I say and look down to hide my blushing cheeks. I felt his hand gently push up on my chin, raising my head and exposing my face. "Don't be shy, darling. It's just me. Your new big step brother!" I felt a pang of a mix of emotions inside me. It was now official. Oliver, the guy I'm falling for, is now my brother. My fucking brother.
