Chapter 47
Julie's POV:

The next day, after that very exciting night, I got a text from Jessa at breakfast.

"Omg Jules! You left?! And didn't tell me??"

Shit. Once again I forgot about Jessa! I told Oliver and he just laughed.

"What kind of friend are you," he muttered.

"Shut it," I said.

I texted her back
"Jess! I'm really sorry. Oliver and I left in a huge hurry and we've been caught up with some other stuff."

After that, she called me and I told her where we were living. And then the bomb dropped.

"Oh my god Julie! I'm outside and Valentine is just running down the road! How could you leave her here?!" Jessa scolded me. She's like a mother I swear.

"Oh fuck I forgot completely forgot. I'm such a terrible mother," I cried. Oliver gave me a questioning look. I waved him off.

"Hey, Charlie and I could come to New York where you guys are and visit and drop off Valentine?" She suggested.

"Good idea. When will you be able to come here?" I asked. Hopefully soon. I felt so bad leaving our poor baby alone with those monsters. They let her go free!

"In about two days we'll leave. I'll see you then, love yah!" She called.

"Love you too, Jess," I answered. I turned to Oliver and said, "We left our baby."

Oliver's eyes widened. "Valentine?" He whispered. I nodded and he hugged me. "I'm sorry Jules we were in such a rush I should've remembered."

"I know, but I still feel terrible! We left her with them. Jessa said she was just running around!" I cried. He hugged me tighter. Princess was hopping around, sensing my sadness.

"Don't worry, Princess, we're gonna get your sister back," Oliver whispered.

A few days later, Jessa informed me that they were nearing New York City.

"We should actually make dinner for once for them," I told Oliver. Lately we've just been ordering food to be delivered to the apartment. But I figured Jessa and Charlie have been eating fast food, so I wanted to make them real food.

"Ok let's go to the store," Oliver said, putting his shoes on. We walked to the nearby store and bought the supplies for spaghetti.

We played some music and danced and cooked. It was really cute and sweet.

When we were done, it started to rain. Oliver and I stood in front of the big windows and watched the rain.

I was the first to notice Jessa's car pull in front of the apartment building.

"They're here!" I yelled. I was really excited to see Jessa.

A few minutes later we heard the knock on the door.

"Jessa!" I tackled her the second the door opened. She hugged me back. Valentine pushed through everyone and jumped on Oliver, licking his face, making Oliver sputter.

When Valentine was done, she noticed princess. They jumped and played together. I was so glad they got along together.

"We made dinner for you guys," I told them.

"Great, I'm starving!" Charlie said.

We all sat down and ate, having a great time.

After dinner, we sat around and talked about what happened with our parents. Jessa hugged me many times during the story.

When it was getting late, so we pulled out the pull out bed from the couch and said our goodnights.

Laying in bed, with princess and valentine, I whispered to Oliver, "I'm so glad we have friends like that."

"I'm glad too," he said, kissing the top of my head, and falling asleep.
