~26th June~ ~11:30AM~ ~Shadow Paw Packlands~ (Lydia's POV) Welcome home I guess. I felt the familiar magic of the barrier encasing me when we passed through it. Levi was still driving and I was glad because I was feeling a little nervous to be honest. Just a little bit. No one was waiting at the gate for us, it was just open. Idiots it's like they want the Nightmares to just walk into there pack. It was ridiculous. It was the simplest thing they could do. Have a closed and protected gate. "Are the gates usually open?" Darla asked with a yawn. I shook my head. "They always used to be locked when I was here, but I guess that must have changed." I replied to her. "It's stupid to just leave gate open, it's asking for attacks." Levi grumbled and I nodded in agreement. We drove all the way to packhouse and I looked out the window the whole time. It was like everything had changed, but at the same time was the same. It had changed, but hadn't. There were more buildings, but the ones I had left behind were still there. As we pulled up to the packhouse I was slightly shocked. It was larger. Not as big as ours, but larger from when I last saw it. It may have been larger, but it looked run down. Slates coming off the roof. One of the windows was shattered and only had a plank of wood covering it and some of the bricks looked loose. Usually everything in pack territory was kept at the highest standard (especially the packhouse), but here everything looked faded and run down. It hurt me a little bit to see the pack looking like this. We parked outside of the house and then waited for someone. Anyone. Nobody was even waiting for us. We were all just stood there waiting. We knocked and nothing. "This is so unprofessional." Sadie grumbled while we waited and we all grumbled a reply. We were waited for 20 minutes until we heard some footsteps coming from behind us. We all turned around and there they all were. Ezra, his parents, Scarlett, Owen, Victoria, Kinsley, Daniel and Stella. I never thought I'd see them again. Ezra's parents looked old and stressed.
