Or~ Kokichi is jealous that Shuichi spent the day with Keebo, so decides to be petty. Then flirt with Shuichi once he turns up

Prompt : Robots

Shuichi had been waiting for almost half an hour now and Kokichi still hadn't shown up. And it wasn't like Kokichi to... was it standing him up? It wasn't like they were going on dates or anything... the thought suddenly made itself known, and Shuichi found himself blushing slightly. Blushing, in his room, over Kokichi Oma standing him up, of all things. Well, just not showing up - this wasn't a date.

But at the same time, there was now a definite sense of unease. Afterall, this wasn't a normal, ideal world where someone not showing up could be excused by a number of things; this was a killing game. Which meant if Kokichi wasn't showing up...

Shuichi needed to do something now, and to do something fast. His muscles were still aching from Kaito's training sessions, but adrenaline had started to surge in Shuichi - and he barely felt anything as he got up, quickly grabbing his keycard but not bothering to lock his dormitory behind him. Where was Kokichi's room again? Looking around for a second, Shuichi quickly recognized the pixelated image of Kokichi. It was a fairly good replica, although it didn't capture everything about him. His smile, the way his eyes moved and shone when he laughed.

He was getting distracted. Moving the last couple steps, Shuichi got to Kokichi's room. Instinctively he pushed against it, but it was locked. That was probably a good sign, as only Kokichi should have the keys, so only he should be able to lock it. Determined to keep moving, Shuichi began to knock with his right hand, before pressing the buzzer with his left.

Knowing that anyone in there would have been woken up, Shuichi stopped for a second and simply listened. But there was still just silence. Shuichi probably wouldn't have even considered this next option if it wasn't for Kokichi, if it wasn't for Kaito's training. But instead he simply spoke out, "Listen, I don't care who's in there. If you don't answer me I'm going to break down the door."

Still silence. And so, taking a small step back, Shuichi ran at the door - turning slightly left so he hit it shoulder on rather than face on. And just as he was about to hit the door, he heard the familiar click of an undoing lock - and sailed through a suddenly open door.

"Wooow, Shuichi." It was Kokichi's voice, from above and to his right, "Y'know, I kinda thought that was just going to be an empty threat."

"Kokichi?" There were so many emotions going through his head right now. Relief, at the fact he was alive, embarrassment (Kokichi had just seen him try and break a door down), and quite a lot of anger. "Kokichi, why didn't you say something?!"

"I'm sleepy," Kokichi offered up, smiling. "Besides, you didn't seem like the kind of person who'd break my door down."

"Well, I was worried about you," Shuichi pushed himself off the floor, and while unwilling to wholly take his eyes off Kokichi - he did look around the room.

"You were?" Kokichi's eyes were almost sparkling, "So you do love me Shuichi!"

"Love you?" Shuichi stared into the supreme leader's eyes for a second, trying to see if he could find the truth in there, "I mean... I was worried about you."

"So-so you don't love me," suddenly Kokichi's eyes began to water, and tears began to roll out, "You're so mean Shuichi!"

"No, Kokichi..." Trying to think, Shuichi stood next to the smaller boy, and awkwardly wrapped his arms around him, "You'll wake everyone up."

"I-I mean," Kokichi gave a sudden gulp, "First you abandon me for Kaito, and now for the robot?"

"For Keebo?" Shuichi thought out loud, before remembering how he had spent most of his day with the robot, "Wait Kokichi. You thought I was replacing you with Keebo?"

"I wouldn't put anything past a soulless robot," Kokichi said, a now exaggerated pout on his face, "Besides - don't act like it wasn't a mutual hanging out"

"I- that doesn't mean I'm leaving you for him."

"Leaving me?" But there doesn't seem to be hurt in Kokichi's voice this time, "So Shumai admits he was with me!"

"That isn't what I-" Shuichi shakes his head slightly, "Were you even mad to begin with?"

"Of course I was," Kokichi smiles, "Or maybe it was just a lie! That might've been a lie too."

"Well..." Shuichi looks around the room a bit more, this time seeing its weirdness, "What would you like to do now?"

"Shuichii," Kokichi suddenly gets closer, and in an instant his voice changes from childlike to something much more different, "Would you have liked it if the reason for you being here was the bed?"

"The-the," somehow Shuichi was able to function perfectly during class trials, but the second Kokichi had said that he couldn't think at all. He was dimly aware of how much he must be blushing. Then a laugh cut through it all. "That was just a lie! I'm kidding... probably."

"You..." Shuichi desperately tried to change the subject, "Why have you got Angie's sculpture of Rantaro?"

"Oh, Waxtaro?" Kokichi smiled, "I just get lonely sometimes, ya know. And crime scene stuff is cool."

Taking a second look at the supreme leader's room, Shuichi realised that almost all of it was from a case, except the Monopads still on the bed. He took a second look at the Rantaro, positioned almost exactly like Korekiyo had. "Why do you keep Rantaro's-"

"Waxtaro," Kokichi corrected.

"Why is... Waxtaro, above your bed?"

"So if someone comes in here to murder me they think someone's already in the room, obvi," Kokichi smiled, "Or maybe they'll think he's a ghost."

Kokichi paused for a second, considering something, "It's especially a Kaito defence, cause he can't deal with ghosts."

"Do you really think Kaito would try and kill you?" Shuichi asked with some concern.

"Of course not, I'm just lying," Kokichi was still grinning, "Besides - I'll just kill him if he does."

"Ok Kokichi, enough," but there was still a smile on both of their faces, "Why are you really in your room?"

"I already told you!" Kokichi's pout was back again, but so were the sparkles in his eyes, "You were hanging out with that soulless robot instead of me!"

"I'm not going to replace you with Keebo," Shuichi said softly.

"Really?"

"No, you're..." Shuichi smiled, "You're irreplaceable to me, Kokichi."
