Kokichi talks to Shuichi about their future together.

Kokichi leaned forward, "What do you think about kids?"
"I-" Shuichi began to answer, before pausing and trying to make sense of that sentence. It was such an odd thing to ask, and fairly out of the blue. "I like kids, there's something... sweet about them."
Kokichi seemed to genuinely contemplate his answer, lips slightly more drawn together as they often were in thought, "But not kids now?"
"No," Shuichi paused, "Why?"
"I'm just trying to picture our future together, Shumai," Kokichi answered easily, "What about cats? I'm a cat person, y'know."
"I like cats," Shuichi responded, blushing and smiling.
