Kate's POV
As I stood up I saw a women with purple hair rush to the doctor.
Was she Kalin's mom ?
I let go of Myles hand and walked towards the doctor.
"Kalin is good for now. He's currently resting. He lost a lot of blood and he's still in risks to die.. Would you guys like to see him ?"
"Yes please" she said.
she turned to the left and saw me.
She looked at me from head to toe and her face brightened up.
"You must be the famous Kate" she said as she gave me a smile.
"Yeah, that's me" I said and smiled back.
"I'm Starlah, Kalin's mom" she said reaching out her hand for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you" I said as we shook hands.
"Can we talk later ?" She asked
"um yeah"
We followed the doctor and walked for what seemed forever.
He stopped and opened a room door.
Kalin's mom was in tears by now.
I tried not to cry but I couldn't hold it in.
She sat down next to him and grabbed his hand as she cried.
Kalin's POV
I heard a familiar voice.
Mom?
I tried with all my strength to open my eyes but they wouldn't open.
I didn't stop trying when I suddenly saw a celling.
"Oh my gosh Kalin !!" I heard Kate say.
Kate ! She here.
I lowered me head to see my mom and Kate.
"Baby I missed you so much" my mom said as she pulled me into a hug and cried on my shoulder.
I saw Kate covering her face as she was crying.
As soon as my mom let go off the hug Kate immediately ran to hug me.
At this point I was crying.
"Why did you do this Kalin ?" She said as she sniffled.
I looked up at my mom.
"I'll leave you two alone" my mom said as she grabbed her purse and left the room.
I sat up and Kate sat down in the bed by my feet.
"I did it because I love you" I said as she dried off her tears and looked up.
She grabbed my hand and locked our fingers.
"Kalin, I love you too"
"No you don't get it! I'm in love with you"
"Kalin I-"
"I know, "I love you as a friend" bullshit ! See his is why i did it, You don't love me like i do. I can't have you."
"No Kalin, I was gonna say im love with you too"
What ? She loves me.
"Then why are you with Myles ? Do you love him... more ?" I asked.
She didn't respond.
She just looked at me.
"Kalin, it-" I cut her off with a kiss.
Kate's POV
Suddenly he leaned in.
I felt his warm lips against mine.
I couldn't help the blush on my cheeks and the sound of my heart pounding inside my chest.
And out of nowhere the door slammed.
We looked at each other and i ran out the room.
There he was.
Myles running out the room with anger and pain in his eyes.
"Myles !" I yelled out crying.
Myles POV
And then I saw her kissing Kalin.
I clenched my fist and could feel tears going down my cheeks.
I ran out the room and slammed the door.
I cried harder and harder remembering the image of the person I love the most kissing the person who ruined my life.
I could hear Kate calling my name with cracks on her voice.
"Myles just please listen to me" she said as she grabbed my arm.
I turned around and saw her with tears all over her face.
I turned back around and ignored her but as much as i wanted to talk to her and hug her I couldn't because I knew this was gonna happen. She hurt me more than any other girl besides I actually loved her.
I walked to the waiting room as she was still calling my name.
I could feel Dom, Jake and Karla staring at us.
I quickly grabbed my sweater and continued walking but she pulled me back.
I saw her eyes with pain and regret.
"Myles I love you and I never meant for this to happ-" I cut her off
"I love you too but maybe you deserve better" I said and we both cried harder.
"No Myles i only want you" she said as Karla and Dom's eyes were forming tears.
"It hurts me more than anyone will ever know but I can't stay. I love you Kate" I said as I kissed her and tears were running down her face nonstop.
I turned around and let out all my tears.
I walked to the car and speed off.
