Suddenly a superhero

the League Of Superheros

Soon C.A.R drives out of the garage and onto the street, we drive out of L.A and into a piece of land that had an amazing building right in the middle of nowhere. "We drove all the way out here for nothing?" David asks interrupting my train of thought. "Maybe only superheros can see it." I reply. I get out of C.A.R and David and Howie do the same, I walk to the door of the building and open it stepping in. All three of us look at the inside of the building, superheros were all around the building. When they saw us they stared and we had no idea what to do but we didn't need to because President Smash stepped out from the crowd. "Claire, I'm surprised you came so fast. You must really want to be a member." He says cocky. I step forward "I came cause I want my parents back, now what do I have to do to become a member?" President Smash looks at me and at David and Howie "Who are those two?" he asks pointing at them. "My mean older brother and his awkward best friend with an enormous crush on me. Now how do I become a member" I say. President Smash looks at me sternly "Because of your lack of heroic deeds we can't make you a member the traditional way, however we will make an exception because of your tremendous abilities and we understand the government are very interested in you. But you must fight three of our best superheros you win you will become a member and we will help you in any way we can but if you lose you'll have to find your own way around this mess." He explains. I look at David and Howie and back at President Smash "You got a deal." I say shaking his hand. David runs up to me and pulls me away "You can't fight three superheros, you only had your powers for three days. What makes you think you can actually win?" He whispers. I look at him with concern "I have hope." Touching my heart, David looks at me blankly "Dad says hope is just something pathetic weaklings made up to make them feel good about themselves." I step to David and say "If I don't win this fight we won't see Dad and Mom ever again and since you're 18 you'll have to do all the work, get a job, pay the bills, support me till I'm 18 and last time I checked you hated doing all of those things." David grabbed my shoulders and said "I'm gonna say something I've always been told but you never were, Good luck."

5 minutes later I watch as everyone is preparing for the fight, I have already warmed up my powers. A horn sounds President Smash calls out "Fellow superheros, we are about to witness an epic fight between three of our best and Claire whose only been a superhero for three days. Now Claire's first opponent Max Hammer." A boy David's age came out of the crowd and I knew why he had his name, he had giant hammers on his hands. Max immediately took a swing at me, I dodge the blow. He takes another swing but this time I grab a hold of his hammer and flip him over my head onto the ground. Everyone gasped, Max had no intention of getting up and President Smash gave me a dirty look and yells "Finish her, Webstress." A young woman steps out of the crowd, she aims her hand and silk shots out of her hand towards me. I dodge with a backflip, she tries again I use my telekinesis and stop the silk. I wrap the silk around the woman's wrist and telekinesis her into the wall across the room. The crowd give a small applause, President Smash still looks at me with an angry look "She still has one more person to fight."

President Smash enters from the crowd "You should've expected this Claire, Now prepare to lose." He says and pulls two swords from his belt. I look taken aback, I see two swords on the wall "You wanna fight weapons? I can fight weapons." I use telekinesis and bring the swords to my hands. President Smash charges at me sword aimed at my head, I block the attack with my own sword. He lunges at me again and I block again but he knocks the swords from my hands, I kick him in the stomach. He charges at me a second time, as he was about to strike me I grab his wrist with my left hand and place my right under his arm and with all my strength I flip him landing on his back hard. I put my foot on his chest "Game over, man." Everyone in the crowd cheered, David and Howie run up and hug me but Howie overdid his hug "Don't make me slap you in front of everyone." I say and Howie lets go. We look at President Smash who gotten up from the ground, he approached me looking angry "I have never been beaten in my work as a superhero but I'm honoured to lose to someone as amazing a superhero as you Claire." I blush but I stay cool "Thanks, so that means?"

President Smash smiled and said "Claire, welcome to the League Of Superheros." Everyone cheered and applauded, my phone buzzes it was the tracking device and it had Mom and Dad's location. I hand President Smash my phone and ask "You know what this place is?" He looks at the location "That is a government base, you can handle it." He says and hands me back my phone. I turn to David and Howie "Let's go fight for justice."
