Suddenly a superhero

Did the wish come true?

The next morning I have a really bad headache and I feel extremely hot. I sit up in bed and Mom comes to see if I'm up and when she sees me she says "Claire, you look awful." She sits on the bed next to me and puts her hand on my forehead but immediately pulls her hand away in pain. "You are staying home from school today, let me take your temperature." Mom says running to get the thermometer. She comes back a second later and put the thermometer in my right ear and takes a look at it. "It says question mark! That's not good." Mom says looking concerned. "It's fine, you go to work and I'll give you a call if I need anything." I assure Mom. She was happy at this answer and she along with Dad and David left and I went back to sleep.

I woke up at 10:30, I was thirsty and reached for a cup of water but when I tried to drink the water I saw that the water was frozen. I put down the cup and soon find myself downstairs at the fridge, I grab a bottle of water and start to walk to the lift but I knock into the coffee table and my book that was on the table fell and slid under the couch. I get down on my knees and with one hand I lift up the surprisingly light couch and grab my book. It took me a second to realize what I just did, it was impossible for me lift the couch it weighed 200 pounds. I slowly lower the couch back onto the ground and I get up and take the lift up to my room.

I was confused by what was happening and when I got off the lift in my room I noticed the candle Mom gave me last night. I thought my wish over and over, it seemed impossible but it was the only real solution....I have superpowers.
