Jake's POV

It was about to be 8:30 and I was starting to get really tired. The meeting I had today was very exhausting. I turned my phone on and looked at my messages. I stared at the screen once I noticed the text I got from Jessica earlier. My ex. The women I planned on spending the rest of my life with. Until I caught her sleeping with another man in my own bedroom. The thought of her made me furious. I received the text earlier when I found Kaitlyn and Sara arguing, I reread the message

"Jake, I know I'm the last person on earth you'd like to see, but I rally need to talk to you. I made a mistake and I regret it more than anything. I'm still not ready to let you go. I'll be in town very soon. Hopefully you'll accept my request of taking you out to lunch. See you soon"

I frowned and clenched my jaw. I never want to see her again, she tore my heart into a billion pieces. Especially now that I have to marry Kailtyn. I finally came to my senses and thought out the weekend ahead of me.

I should leave now, I want to sleep. It was finally Friday today, meaning I have the whole weekend all to myself. My dad suggested I should take Kaitlyn out to do something together tomorrow and I agreed. I made reservations for tomorrow. The restaurant was the fanciest in town, and the scenery was magnificent. Well at least that's what the advertisement claims. .

I'm not the type of guy who likes to go to fancy places but I don't know if Kaitlyn is, Jessica was that type of person though. I snapped back to reality and noticed I could finally leave. I gathered my stuff and slipped my blazer back on. I checked my watch and it was already about to be 9. I walked out of the building and headed straight for my car. I let out a big breathe, now I can finally go sleep. On my was back home, the radio was playing annoying main street remixes. "Shit," I said with clenched teeth. I constantly had to change the radio station, then I just turned the radio off. The night was very cold and busy as always. Hey man, I live in New York. The clouds were starting to roam in. Finally I arrived to my apartment building and parked my car. I noticed Kaitlyn's car wasn't there. I rushed my way to my penthouse and once I reached the 7th level, the place was extremely silent.

"Kaitlyn!" I shouted from the top of my lungs.

No response.

Maybe she's at her parent's house I calmly asked to myself. I rapidly took out my phone from my pocket and Dialed Lily.

"Hello?"

"Lily, by any chance is your daughter there with you guys?"

"No honey, she left about 4 hours ago. Why? Is everything okay?"

SHIT I mumbled to myself.

"I don't know where she is. She's not here at home and I didn't see her car in the parking lot."

"Ohhh NO! My daughter!"

"Lily, can you please give me her number?"

"Yes of course! Do you have something to write with?"

I took a pen out of my blazer's pocket and snatched a paper out of my briefcase.

"Yes."

"Okay, It's ....."

"Okay thank you. I'll call her now and if she doesn't answer, I'll locate her from my phone."

"Okay Honey! please keep us updated and we'll call to file a report."

I nodded even though she couldn't see me through the phone and clicked. I quickly dialed the number Lily gave me and waited for a call back...

"Sorry but the person you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please leave a message after the beep.."

"BEEEEP"

"Kaitlyn Where the fuck are you?"

I then clicked and tried again and again.

No answer, I began to get really worried.

\Where are you Kaitlyn?

Where are you? ... I questioned to myself over and over again, but it was just me, and the stupid voicemail response. . .
