Shortly after Pains defeat by the hands of Naruto, Danzo, despite his low standing, was chosen as the Rokudaime Hokage. Later on many talented shinobi left Konoha, because they didn't trust Danzo. Aside from Sai the whole Rookie 11 with their respective senseis, Tsunade, Tenzo, Ebisu, Team Konohamaru, Yugao and Iruka left the village, while some others are staying behind and are working as spies [the old Ino Shika Cho, the parents of Shino, Anko, Ibiki, Genma, Kotetsu, Izumo].
