Maddie got out of the pool and changed into her pajamas. She was about to head downstairs but Belly ran in and closed the door behind her.
"Geez, Bella what's up?"
"We need to go to the Bonfire" she said
"Why?"
"Because we are two teenagers who need to have fun"
"I have fun with movie night"
"Please, for me" Belly begged
Madeline did have to admit the sound of going to the Bonfire did sound like fun. Not to mention she could hang out with Jeremiah, Conrad, and Steven. Plus she could make sure her brother didn't do anything stupid.
"Fine"
"Thank you!" Belly exclaimed and hugged her tightly.
They went downstairs and saw the moms in the kitchen.
"Brownies are going in." Susannah said
"Go put the DVD in."
"Uh, do we have to watch It Happened One Night? Can't we do something different?" Belly asked
"But we always watch It Happened One Night on the first night."
"Well, we could watch The Philadelphia Story instead." Catrina offered and Susannah nodded. Laurel noticed something was different with the two girls making her raise an eyebrow.
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah! We're just kind of tired, so we think we might skip the movie and go to bed." Maddie lied.
"Okay, hon, yeah, sure."
"We can, uh... we can do the brownies another night." Susannah nodded.
Maddie and Belly went up to their room to change but Catrina came in.
