"Well, sometimes I feel like I don't wanna be where I am
Gettin' drunk at a club with my fair-weather friends
Push away all the people who know me the best
But it's me who's been making the bed"

"I am so excited that you two are finally here this summer. Can we do, like, everything that we never got to do together? Like parties, pool, mall? We have to get you guys a fake I.D." Taylor ranted as Belly and Madeline sat in Belly's room.

Madeline wasn't sure if she wanted to go to the party but she already agreed and knew that Belly would end up not going too.

"Let's start by figuring out what I'm gonna wear tonight. Uh, okay. Okay." Belly chuckled and looked at her vanity table to see Susannah's earrings.

"Susannah's earrings? They're perfect."

"Okay. Since my man is playing tonight, I'm gonna need you to be the super-hot friends standing next to his super-hot girlfriend."

"Yeah, let's get super-hot." Madeline said trying to sound enthusiastic

"I love it when you agree with me."

"Um, I'm thinking this."

"That's what you call super-hot?"

"This looks so good on you."

"No, no, I've got to have something better." Belly said and began to look through her closet.

Madeline say at Belly's desk and looked at her wall that had photos. One in particular was of her and Conrad. Maddie had to admit she missed him. She missed their phone calls. Maddie understood Conrad was in college and going through a lot of stuff but she missed him.

Madeline sat in her room doing homework as FRIENDS played in the background. She was trying to do Trigonometry but was not understanding a word of it.

Her phone then went off and Madeline checked her watch. It was 8pm and Conrad had called right on time.

"Hey, Woody" Maddie smiled
