After some swimming and surfing the family came back home to get ready for the birthday dinner. Maddie wore a simple light blue dress that she loved and opened her door to see Jeremiah standing there about to knock.
"Fancy seeing you here"
"Excited for your birthday dinner?"
"Yeah, I love all of us hanging out. Plus I actually invited someone" she said making Jeremiah's smile fade away.
"Really?" Dawson?"
"Yeah, Belly invited her new boyfriend so I figured I could invite my own friend."
"Are you two official? You've only been on one date."
"Says the guy who usually doesn't even do dates and skips to the other parts."
"Yeah well you deserve to have a proper date. Once without us ruining it so you know how you really feel."
"That's actually a good idea"
"I tend to have them from time to time."
Jeremiah noticed she set up her record player and got an idea.
"So...I see you set the record player up"
"I did, I'm excited to try it."
"Then let's do it" he said and put the Speak Now record on. After a few seconds Enchanted began to play. Jeremiah held his hand out and gave his signature smile.
"Care to dance?"
"Why yes I would." Maddie nodded and did a little curtsy. Maddie wasn't great at ballroom dancing but with Jeremiah it was easy. The two danced around her room and Jere spun her around causing her to laugh.
