"But I'm in so deep You know I'm such a fool for you You got me wrapped around your finger Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to, do you have to let it linger?
Oh, I thought the world of you I thought nothing could go wrong But I was wrong, I was wrong"

Christmas in New York was Madeline's favorite thing. At least it had been until this year. This was the first one without her father. So Madeline being Madeline decided to embody Christmas and make it the best she could.
She had wrapped all her gifts and instructed her twin and mom on how to wrap them nicely. She had watched every Christmas movie known to man multiple times and as December 24th arrived she was ready. Or at least she thought she was.
It was currently 7 pm on that night and Madeline was alone watching A Christmas story. Her mom had to work until ten and Mason decided to go over to a friend's house until nine. Maddie was supposed to go to the party with Mason but bailed last minute. She didn't feel comfortable going to parties in New York. All the kids did was get high and drunk. She would much rather be home than out. Maddie looked at her tree and saw the one from her father was still under there. She figured her mother put it out as an attempt for her to open it. Madeline just wasn't ready. She didn't want to open it because if she did that made it all real.
Ever since finding out about Susannah that was where everyone's attention go. The Wilson family put their grief on hold to make sure the Fishers and the Conklins were ok. Madeline was watching Ralphie walk down the stairs when her phone went off. She paused the movie and smiled seeing the caller ID.
"Merry Christmas!" Jeremiah Fisher said loudly making her smile.
