Today was a special day for Madeline, Mason, and Belly. For Belly it was her 16th birthday. For the twins it was their seventeenth. Catrina and Laurel always thought it was funny since Maddie and Belly acted like sisters.
Maddie was woken up by someone jumping on her bed making the girl roll over.
"I love you Bella but it's too early."
"The suns up"
"But it hasn't even reached double digits."
"Come on its our birthday!"
"Mason up?"
"Yeah, he's at the beach"
"Then I'm good staying here"
"You have to talk to him Maddie"

"No, you'll be all nice but end up avoiding him. Today is not just your birthday but his too."
Maddie knew Belly was right. Mason deserved to have a good birthday.
"Fine" she mumbled and got up.
She changed and went downstairs to find her mom, Laurel, and Susannah talking as usual.
Catrina instantly hugged her daughter and kissed her cheek before hugging her again.

"Tonight's dinner is going to be amazing. I know Belly wanted a Vanilla cake so I made her one and then I know you and Mason always share one so it's a chocolate cake with raspberry jam and peanut butter buttercream." Susannah explained. She always went all out for their birthdays, especially for Belly and Maddie since they were the daughters she never had.
