Miles's POV

Time skip

'Are you sure this is a good idea?' Ganke asked me for the millionth time as we crept out of the school. He had been asking me nonstop the whole walk out here whether I had ever reconsidered my decisions and thought things through before deciding to sneak out of school for the second time.

And, if you know me, you know the answer, too.

'We'll be fine, Ganke. Now shut up and keep climbing.'

We were currently on the side of the building; he was using a ladder, which had luckily been close to the dorms, and I was trying my hardest to focus and stick to the wall this time. In case you were wondering...it wasn't going well.

Ganke swallowed nervously, and looked to me again.

'What if- '

'We get caught? I've told you, again and again, that I'll be able to tell if danger is coming.'

'By a pain in your head?'

'Well, yeah.' I said, a little defensively.

'Great. So my academic career relies on a little headache.'

'That makes me feel so much better.' He added under his breath, and I rolled my eyes once more.

'I don't see you coming up with a better idea.' I shot back, taking another treacherous step down the building.

'Maybe I would if we took time to think things through- '

'One of which we don't have, and I have thought things through.' I slipped a little at these words and hurriedly tried for a grip again; I caught one, luckily.

'Oh, really? What's your plan then, Einstein?' he taunted, as he jumped off the ladder and landed on his two feet.

'I do have one if that's what you're saying, I just...haven't told you yet.' I landed less smoothly; the transitions from climbing to walking still tripped me up.

'Uh huh.' He raised an eyebrow as I got up from the ground, brushing myself off.

'Aight, let's go.'

I shoved my hands into my pockets and started walking and Ganke jogged a little to catch up with me.

At the subway place

'Uhhh...'

Ganke looked up and around himself at the massive amount of art on the walls. To any outsider, this would've looked like any other spot for spray painting.

To me, however; it looked amazing.

'Pretty cool, right?' My voice echoed a little bit as I walked up to the work I had done the previous day.

'I mean this place is...' His voice trailed off as he did a 360, admiring all the artwork on the walls and ceiling.

'How did you even find out about this place?' He asked, approaching me.

I breathed out, smiling slightly.

'My uncle showed it to me 'round a year ago. We've come here together several times, but lately...'

Ganke scrunched his eyebrows together a little, concerned.

'He's been busy.'

'Oh.'

We went silent and both stared at my work on the wall in front of us, enjoying the peace and quiet.

If you count peace and quiet as listening to water drip into a puddle at a corner.
