I was so nervous going to school. It was my first day of 5th grade. Soon I reached school. As I was going to my class, my anxiety was rising. As I got into the class, I saw a lot of students, then I saw a girl. She was looking so beautiful and we made eye contact. I immediately looked away.
Soon the teacher came and introduced herself. We started introducting ourselves. The teacher gave us our time table and turns out our next lecture was sports. We went to the ground, as it was the first day the coach told us we can play what we want. I was just sitting, as I was too shy to talk to anyone.
That's when a girl came to me. Guess what!? It was the same girl with whom I made eye contact. "Hi! My name is Noah. What's yours?" she said. "Jessie." I shortly answered. Then she asked, "Would you like to be my friend?". I thought for a moment and said, "Sure."
We started talking, well mostly Noah as I was too shy to talk and couldn't talk to new people. Soon the lecture ended and we all went to our class. Thankfully, I was sitting alone so nobody would annoy me. The rest of the day was boring as teachers were introducting themselves.
Soon our school ended, I was so exhausted. Suddenly someone called me. I turned around to see Noah waving her hand. "Hey Noah. Do you need something?" I asked. "No, no. I don't want anything." she said "I just wanted to talk to you." I was slightly blushing as nobody has ever said that to me. "Well we didn't get to talk with each other after sports lecture. So I just wanted to talk to you."
"Oh so what do you want to talk about?" I asked. She thought for a minute and said "From which bus do you go home?". "Bus number 9." I countinued "What about you?". "25" she said. "We both live in opposite directions." I said as bus 9 goes to west while bus 25 goes to east. "Yeah, you're right." she said.
We soon bid our goodbyes as we both had to go back to our respective buses before they leave us. On the way, I was smiling like a fool. Soon I reached home.

As I entered my house, I took off my shoes and went to freshen up. I changed my clothes and went down to eat. I was talking to my mother about my day, she wasn't paying attention to it but I didn't care I just wanted to talk about my day.
That's when my sister Jessica came and also started talking about her day. At that time my mother was paying full attention to her. I kinda felt bad but it wasn't new for me . I quickly ate my food and went to my room.
I felt someone shaking me, I slowly opened my eyes and saw my mother, “Wake up or else you'll be late for school.” she said. After waking up, I changed my clothes and went to my bus stop with my sister. Actually Jessica and I were twins but not identical so we both were in the same standard.
After some minutes, our school bus came and we climbed up. We sat on our seats. We reached school as we got out and bid goodbyes to each other.
I was kinda excited to see Noah. Even though we only met yesterday, I'm getting good vibes from her. And it is not to say that she is my first friend here. She is also the reason why I am atleast talking to people.
I entered the class and saw Noah coming up to me. “Hi there.” she said. “Yo.” I replied. We started talking and soon the bell rang. Teacher came and started teaching us. During the lecture I kept staring at Noah. I can't help but stare, she was looking so beautiful, no not beautiful, but handsome. Even with long hairs, she was looking manly and tomboyish. Now look at me even with short hairs, I look like a girly girl. I want to be a tomboy, they look so cool.
Soon it was lunch break. I was sitting alone. When Noah came and sat beside me. We started talking while sharing food with each other. To be honest we became fast friends even with our almost opposite personalities.
After the remaining lectures were complete, we were dismissed. I started packing my bag and Noah was waiting for me. I quickly packed my bag and walked with her to my bus. We once again started talking but were interrupted by Jessica. “Hi there! I see you made a friend in just one day. I'm impressed.” Jessica said. “What do you mean?” asked Noah. “Well my sister is not that good at making friends.” she answered and Noah nodded. I then introduced them to each other.
They started to talk to each other. Leaving me alone once again. I think Noah noticed that I was feeling left out and started to include me in their conversation as well.
I realized that Jessie was feeling uncomfortable and left out so I started including her. And it seemed to work as she was now smiling and laughing with us.
We were talking for so long that I didn't realize that I have go home. “Shit! I have go now.” I hurriedly said. Behind me, I could hear Jessie shout “HEY! DON'T SWEAR!”. I just laughed at Jessie for being so cute before running off to my bus.
'Wait…What!? Cute? What the hell are you thinking, Noah? You just met her one day before and you're calling her cute.'
I got on my bus and started talking to other students. Soon I reached home. I got inside and was immediately greeted by my mom.

“How was your day, darling?” she asked. “It was good, I made some more friends in my bus today and remember the girl I told you about, Jessie? Well we are pretty good and I also met her sister today.” I excitedly said in one breath. My mother smiled and said, “It's good to know that you have already made friends. Now go and change your clothes.”
I changed my clothes and sat on my bed thinking about Jessie. I know I just met her one day before but can't help it. Without me realizing I was smiling from ear to ear.
