Chapter 14

Jessie's POV

“Hey guys. I was trying to find you two.” Emma exclaimed.

Olivia was quick to move back. “Yeah. You go ahead, we'll be right back.” Olivia acted as if she wasn't about to kiss me. Is she a professional? Emma nodded and walked outside.

‘No please, don't go. Don't leave me alone with her.’

I wanted to scream but I couldn't. Emma turned around and whispered in my ears, “Don't you dare tell anyone about this. If you do, you'll see how worse I can go.”

It sent shivers down my spine. I nodded, not knowing what to say. She smiled and said “Good girl. Let's go now.”

She walked out, I just stood there not moving a muscle. I wasn't able to move. After a few moments, I finally moved. I went over to the sink and washed my face.

My heart was still beating rapidly. I waited for a few minutes. Finally I calmed down. That's when I got a message.

Oh my gosh. She even sent a red heart. I looked over at the mirror and saw a little blush over my cheeks. Is it seriously that easy to make me blush?

Author's POV

Jessie walked out of the washroom. She had almost forgotten what had happened with Olivia, thanks to Noah's red heart. The moment she joined the group, they started walking towards the gate.

They all decided to go to a restaurant to eat. Jessie declined the order saying that she was tired and said that she will be going home.

Noah decided to go with her. As she sensed something wrong about Jessie. While going home, Jessie had kept quiet and looked really upset. Noah looked around to find something to eat and saw a ice cream shop.

She dragged Jessie with her towards the shop thinking that it would make Jessie happy. And it did. She picked her favourite flavor and Jessie did the same. They went went home while eating ice cream.

They shared their ice cream with each other. Jessie was smiling the whole time. Well it looks like it's true, Love makes you forget all your problems.

They had already reached their flat. Jessie was sitting on the couch visible spacing out. While Noah went to the kitchen to see if they have anything to drink.

Jessie was having a debate with herself, if she should tell Noah what happened in the washroom.

Cutting off her thoughts, Noah said then drank her orange juice “Should we go to my parent's house tonight?”

“Like now?” Jessie asked, feeling nervous about meeting her crush's parents. It's not like she was meeting them for the first time. But they haven't really talked before.

Just a few ‘hello' and ‘how are you'. But never a long conversation. “Not now. At 7 or 8, maybe? Are you up?” Noah said.

Deep down Noah just wanted to stop Jessie thinking about whatever happened to make her upset.

Jessie nodded. “Okay. It's pretty early now, how about we watch a movie?” Noah asked, sitting down next to Jessie. “Oh hell no. I want a good impression. I'm going to get ready.” Jessie said.

“But you have already met them.” Noah said. “But they were short conversations. And I don't care if I have met them before. I still wanna look good.” Jessie said rolling her eyes.

“But you always look good.” Noah said smirking, knowing that Jessie would blush. She was right, Jessie did blush but then Jessie smirked.

“Says you who always look hot.” Jessie said and winked at Noah. Now it was Noah's turn to blush. Her mouth was wide open.

“Close your mouth before a insect flys into it.” Jessie sassily said and turned around. She walked like a material gurl and went into their shared room.

Noah just sat there, really stunned by what just happened. She chuckled softly to herself.

'Looks like the tables have turned. Not gonna lie, it was really surprising to see Jessie flirting back.'

Noah shooked her head and decided to call her mom to inform that they were coming.

Let's see what Jessie is doing, shall we. Currently she was standing in front of her closet having a breakdown since she has ‘no clothes’.

The bed as well as the floor was filled with her clothes. The room was a mess. Finally after, what seemed like forever, she chose a outfit.

She did her makeup and hair. After she was done, she went outside. She saw Noah sleep. She smiled.

“So cute.” Jessie murmured. She went closer and sat next to her. It was 6:30 already and she knew they had to get ready till 7.

Even though she didn't want to, but she had to wake Noah up. “Wake up. You have to get ready.” Jessie said while shaking Noah.

Noah gradually woke up. “Thanks for waking me up. I'll go get ready.” Noah said. She went in our bedroom. She came out after about 25 minutes.

They both went outside and Jessie made sure to lock our house. We sat in her car and she started to drive.

“How much time will it take?” asked Jessie. “About a hour.” Noah replied. Jessie nodded.

20 minutes passed and Jessie started getting drowsy. Jessie was trying to stay awake. “You should go to sleep.” Noah said. Then Jessie fell asleep.

She was woken up by Noah. “Come on. Get up. We are already here.” Noah said. Jessie woke up and sat up straight. She redid her hair and her markup.

“Come on fast.~” Noah said cutely. Jessie made a disgusted face and said, “DisGUstINg sHat.” (In Minho's voice)

Jessie got out of the car and they walked towards the door. Before Noah could ring the bell, Jessie stopped her and said “You sure, they would like me?”

“Of course, they would.” Noah said and rang the doorbell. Noah's father was the one who opened the door.

He smiled brightly. “Noah, Jessie come on in.” He said, his smile never leaving his face. The two girls went inside. “Darling, they are here.” he said.

They all went to the living room and Noah's mother came outside the kitchen. “Hi. Oh wow. Jessie sweetheart, you look so beautiful. The last time I saw you, you were about 15.” Noah's mother said.

And that's how their night went. Jessie got comfortable really quickly with Noah's parents. She felt warm being with them, the kind of warmth she didn't get with her own parents. She had forgotten all the sorrows in her life and was just focusing on the present.
