Chapter 4

Jessie's POV

"Anyways, I wanted to ask you." Jessica said pointing at Emma, "Why didn't you tell us that you have a step-sister?"

"WHAT!?" Luna screamed on top of her lungs. "Gosh! Don't scream. Everyone are looking at us. " I said. "About that, I was about to tell you all about it but I didn't have time because I was busy with the wedding." Emma said. Jessica scoffed, "Then, why weren't we invited?"

"Sorry guys. But my step-dad didn't wanted to have a grand wedding and nor did my mother. So, we only invited a few people." Emma explained. We all nodded, understanding that Emma's mother didn't want a grand wedding as most of the people dislike second marriage.

"Why isn't Olivia here?" I asked. "Who is Olivia?" Luna asked. "She is my step-sister. And she couldn't come because she was still unpacking her stuff." Emma answered.

Time passed quickly and it was already 8 pm. We came to the park at 6:30. "Oh my gosh! It's already 8. I have to go home now." Emma said. We all bid our goodbyes to her. Jessica said, "Guys, I think I should also go home. I have a headache." "Are you okay? Should I come with you?" I asked her. "No. No, it's okay. I can go by myself." I nodded.

"So, how is your crush?" Luna asked. "Luna for the last time, she is not my crush. She is only a friend." I said. "Not friend bro. Best friend. And from best friends you will become lovers. And from lovers you-"

"Stop being a delulu. It would never happen. I don't like her." I cut her off. She just gave me a look that said are-you-kidding-me.

"Okay. Okay. You win. I might have a small crush on her." I said and she just laughed. "Look at your cheeks, they are as red as a tomato." she said while laughing. "What was her name again? Nancy? Nora? Noah? Yes, Noah." she said.

Yes. I might have a small crush on Noah. I might have told Luna about it. She really likes to watch bl dramas, so she was my best option. But of course, it's one sided. Noah would never like someone like me. I told Luna that I might like her as I was not sure about my feelings. I still am not sure if I have a crush on her or is it just admiration.

Soon we started talking about Noah. She asked if I had any new moments with Noah. I told her about the pick up line that she used earlier today. She had a visibly big smile and started to tease me about it.

We then started to talk about random things. Time went by quickly. We both walked towards my house as we both live in the same direction.

My house is closer than Luna's house. We both bid our goodbyes to each other.

When I reached home. I checked my hand watch, I realized I was almost 30 minutes late. I had to go home by 8:30. It was almost 9 o clock now. I rang the doorbell. The door was opened by, thankfully, Jessica. "Are they ma-" I was cut off by Jessica, "Yes, they are. Please, be careful."

I went into the living room behind Jessica. "Mom, Dad. She is home." Jessica said. "Mom. Dad. I'm sorry for being late. Me and Luna were talking, we didn't realize it was this late." I said.

That night I got a hand full of comments like 'you shouldn't come home late.' , 'You should be like your sister more.' , 'You should always obey us.' , Look at your sister, she always obeys us.' , etc. It went on til 11 o clock. The longest they have ever scolded me.

I have never felt so degraded. Sure, Jessica was there with me. Assuring me that they only wanted the best for me and that they were worried about me.

Time Skip - Next Day At School

I was quiet the whole day at school. Noah seemed to noticed that. Even when she told me some funny jokes, I only gave her a fake laugh to it.

"Why are you fake laughing at my jokes? Are you okay?" Noah asked. "I'm okay." I said. "No, you have never been like this since I have known you. Tell me, what's up?...... Or is it because I haven't used any of my pick up lines till now?" She said, making me chocke on my saliva.

"W-what? N-no, it's n-not because of it." I mentally cursed at myself for stuttering. "Yeah. Yeah, sure. Whatever you like to think." Noah said while smirking. "SHUT UP!" I screamed.

"Are you my mom's flip flops?" she asked. "NO! NO! NOT AGAI-" I was cut off by Noah's "Because you hit different."

"OH MY GOSH! FOR GOD SAKE, STOP USING YOUR PICK UP LINES ON ME! PLEASE STOP!" I screamed while blushing.

Time Skip - After School

Me, Noah, Jessica and Olivia were now walking towards our buses. Today, Jessica and Olivia were in front of me and Noah. Once again, Jessica and Olivia were having a conversation which I couldn't hear. We also reached my bus. When Noah said, "You know...."

"I know what?" I questioned her. "You know, I can't turn water into wine. But I can definitely turn you into mine."

"OH MY GOD! PLEASE STOP DOING IT!" I screamed. "Mmmh.... Let me think." she kept one hand on her chin pretending to think, "No." Then she started to laugh like a maniac.

Noah's POV

“OH MY GOD! PLEASE STOP DOING IT!” Jessie screamed. “Mmmh…. Let me think.” I said while pretending to think, “No!” I started laughing like I was crazy, which I am.

“You know, you just laughed like you were crazy.” Jessie said. “Guess I am crazy……. over you.” I flirted.

“FUCK YOU!” she said and ran away. I think she didn't realize that I saw her blushing cheeks.

'Oh my God! If you keep being so cute, I might fall more harder for you, Jessie. I can't even deny it now.'
