Chapter 10

Jessie’s POV

Yesterday night, I cried my heart out. Today when I woke up, I felt a lot better. Today we didn't have anything to do as we weren't called to the academy. We had holiday for 4 more days before the academic year actually starts.

I decided to call Noah after some time to to see the apartments. I still can't believe all the things that happened in this week. It's been one of the most hectic week of my life.

After I am done eating my breakfast, I decided to call Noah. I took my phone and was about to click the call button.

‘But what if she's still sleeping? I don't want to disturb her sleep. What if she was about to eat her breakfast now and I disturbed her? What if she gets ma- No! I shouldn't over think now.’

I finally clicked it and it started ringing. “Hello.” I heard Noah's raspy voice. “Hi.” “Good morning.” she said seems like she just woke up.

“Morning.” I replied. “You called me this early in the morning?” she asked. “Yeah, I wanted to ask you if we can go to see apartments today as we don't have anything to do today.” I said.

“Sure. When and where do you want to meet up?” she asked. “Mmmh…. Let's meet at Cherry Blossom Cafe…. Now it's 10, let's meet at 1 pm.” I answered.

“Yeah, sure." she said. “What are you wearing?” I asked. “I don't know, I will decide later.” she answered. I just mmmh and asked, “What should I wear?”.

“Wear anything you want you look always good. No, not good……. Perfect.” she said. I was blushing, “Sh-shut up. I d-don't lo-ok perfect.” I said.

“You are stuttering, are you blushing?” she said. “N-no.” I stuttered again. “Jessie, you sure are blushing.” she said in a teasing way. “NO! I'M NOT!” I almost forgot that Luna was beside me.

“Goodness! Don't scream.” she said and hit my head. “I'm sorry.” I said to her. “Ok, Jessie. I have to go now. My mom is calling.” she said. “Ok, bye.” I said. “Bye, see ya.” she ended the call.

For some reason I felt sad and uneasy hearing the word ‘mom'. It made my mood go down. It made me think of my own mom.

“So, when are you two meeting?” Luna asked while sipping her coffee and looking at phone. “At 1.” I said. She nodded.

I got and went to the guest room, which is mine till I find a house for myself. I thought of taking a short nap.

Time Skip

I woke up at 12 o clock. I went to the washroom and washed my face. I started to get ready. It took me a lot of time to decide what to wear.

In the end, I decided to wear a purple sweater which was a little oversized. A black baggy jeans with a pair of black heels. I also decided to carry a black handbag which looked good with the outfit.

It was now 12:45. I decided to go to Cherry Blossom Cafe. At it takes 20 minutes to reach there by walking. I took a bus and it only took 15 minutes to reach there.

It was exactly 1 o clock now. I started to feel nervous. I walked inside the cafe. I saw Noah sitting near a window. She saw me and I waved at her. I quickly went to her. I sat in front of her. She was looking really good.

She was wearing a white shirt with a denim jacket and demin jeans. She was wearing white coloured shoes, which complimented the overall outfit.

Noah's POV

“Your outfit looks nice. Did you choose them?” Jessie said. “Thank you. And yes I did.” I said.

‘Only if you knew, how big mess I made at home. And then in the end, decided to let mom choose the whole outfit for me.’

“So, do you have anyone to show us the dorms?” she asked. “Yes, I called them here at 1. But something happened and he would only be able to come at 1:30. I got the call only a few minutes ago.” I said.

‘I called him to come at 1:30 myself. I'm sorry Jessie, I have to lie to you. But I really want to spend some time alone. And I also want to ask you somethings.’

“So, what are we going to do for half an hour?” she questioned. “Mmh… How about we just sit here and talk?” I asked her. “Sure, can we order something?” she asked.

“Yeah, order whatever you want. It's all on me, baby.” I said and wink at her, then sent her a flying kiss.

“Go-goodness, you n-eed stop!” she exclaimed. She was blushing a little. Me, wanting to make her more blush, leaned a little towards her.

She seemed to be frozen. She washed blushing really hard. I leaned more and more till I felt that I wouldn't make her uncomfortable.

Then pretended to wipe something Off her nose. Then I smiled at her and sat down. Actually, my mom used this trick on my dad during their first date. I wanted to try it.

“We order something now.” I said. “Yeah. I would like a red velvet cake, chocolate milkshake and donuts.” she said. I nodded.

I went to the counter. “I would like a red velvet cake, a chocolate cake, 2 chocolate milkshakes and donuts.” I gave the order and went to sit with Jessie.

“You know, it has been 10 years since we met.” she said looking at me. I nodded and said “Yes, I know. It has been 10 years, 1 week and 2 days since we met in 5th grade.”

She eyes was full of surprise, “You remember?” she asked. I chuckled and said, “Yes, of course I do. I remember the day we met very clearly.”

“I also remember it clearly. Bu-t I d-don't re-remember the date.” she said with tearly eyes. I sat beside her and said, “Hey! Don't cry, if you don't remember the date then what? I'll tell you the date. It's 5 June.” (ITZY
Chaeryeong's birthday)

“I am sorry. Recently I have gotten more emotional.” she said while chucking. I worried look at her.

I was about to ask her why she thinks she has been emotional lately. But I was cut off by a ring. “Order number 42.”

It was our order number. “I'll be right back.” I said. She nodded.
