They say that when it rains, it pours. But when it comes to Luna, it storms instead. Aside from the death of her parents, Luna faces relentless torment at school, and feels as if the storm can only get worse.

Sitting in the limo that was taking them to the gala, the Bad Guys were donning matching navy blue tuxedos, though Piranha decided to not wear his jacket. Luna, on the other hand, was given a light pink off-the-shoulder dress by Marmalade to wear. A large, detachable pink bow rested in the middle.
Her bangs were split into two sections and were each parted off to the sides of her head. They were sprayed and gelled so that they'd stay in place, as well as being positioned upward, which would allow everyone to see her forehead. Soft, warm-toned makeup was applied to her face, making her look as if she were a sun goddess. Her sun-themed jewelry helped emphasize the look.
A fake pink rose was clipped into the side of her hair, and in place of her signature black lace up boots were gold, low heels. No one would have guessed she was the girl at the awards ceremony, fully clad in black, revealing her relationship with the Bad Guys.
As she tapped her fingers on her legs, Luna looked down at them in dismay. Earlier today Marmalade scrubbed all the black nail polish off her fingernails and brushed a light, glossy pink over them. It was as if he was determined to eradicate everything on her that was black. Thankfully, he left her hair alone.
I feel like a damn Barbie.
"Hey Luna, you okay?" Wolf asked, pulling her from her thoughts. "You seem a little...out of it."
"Oh, yeah, I-I guess..." Luna answered dismissively, staring at the floor. She wished she could evaporate and leave the dress there, as she felt it was wearing her instead. I wouldn't care if anyone but me were wearing this.
"You alright, girl?" Webs asked. "You haven't been acting like yourself at all today." Although Wolf knew why Luna was acting rather distant, he decided to keep it between the two of them...for now.
"Oh, really? I guess I'm just a little nervous is all." Luna laughed it off and smiled. "I'm just not really used to this kind of attention." Even though it was true, Webs could sense that there was more to it than that. "Why don't we just go over our plan for tonight?"
