Frisk decided to look around the sweet and homey house Toriel led them to as Toriel stayed in the kitchen cooking a pie. There was a stair case where they first came in, most likely to a basement, a room that was Toriel's(judging by the sign), and two bedrooms.

Frisk opened the door to the first and it seemed like an odd room for a child, or maybe it was just Frisk's perspective. There were no holes chewed by rats, no broken windows that wouldn't close on chilly days, the bed was neat and stainless and no holes were anywhere in the blanket or mattress.

Frisk left the room and opened the other door, the sign said under renovation but nothing looked like it had been changed. The only thing that caught Frisk's eye wasn't even something that looked out of place. It was a picture of the child Frisk saw before passing out when they first fell, the child with light brown hair, red eyes, yellow and green striped sweater or shirt, and a golden locket.

The child was laughing happily as either a really small Toriel or a child of the same species seemed to be telling a joke as they say in the patch of flowers Frisk fell upon. For a split second Frisk thought they saw the human child beside them before looking over and seeing they weren't there.

Frisk shook their head and exited the room before going over to the kitchen where Toriel smiled happily as she pulled out a cinnamon and butterscotch pie and set it on the table. "Have as much as you want dear, if you're still hungry I'll make another," Toriel said kindly before taking a slice herself and sitting on a chair in the living room.

"As much as I want.....?" Frisk mumbled quietly to themselves before taking a slice and eating it. As soon as Frisk tasted it it felt like they were in a peaceful bliss and everything their father had done melted away for a second. After Frisk finished their slice they went to Toriel.

Toriel told Frisk stories about the world outside of the underground, before the human and monster war. When humans and monsters attended schools together, played together, and some even fell in love together. Toriel then spoke of the war that waged between humans and monsters because humans didn't trust monsters as much as the monsters trusted them.

Frisk listened intently to the tale from start to finish, and though Frisk knew the human side, hearing the monster's side of the story made Frisk feel sadder than when they first ever heard the story of the two turning on each other.

Toriel smiles sadly and calmly reassured them it was alright and that one day things would be peaceful again. Frisk nodded before Toriel stood. "I must go do something, I might have things downstairs for a human child like you," she moved over to the stairs and walked down them.

Frisk silently followed Toriel, curious about what she was getting. When they got to the final step they saw Toriel trying to destroy a door leading to another place. Toriel froze when she saw them and set down what she was about to use to break it. "Do you want to continue on this adventure child? You know if you do I won't be with you any more, you'll have to survive on your own....."

Frisk nodded and Toriel sighed but smiled. "Alright, come back for pie if you ever need it. I will be happy to share some pie and stories with you again," she opened the door as she finished and Frisk saw snow falling from the sky and on the ground before they hugged Toriel and stepped through the door.

Into a new room in the underground they went.....
