The Yellow Flowers

Chapter 13

Chara stayed in the corner they were in as Frisk tried to dodge the attacks Muffet made and eventually was able to use mercy on Muffet. When the battle was over Chara flew over quickly to where Frisk was as they left.

When they did Frisk saw a poster of Mettaton, staring as both characters of Romeo and Juiliet.

Both Frisk and Chara groaned annoyed. After some time a trap door opened and Frisk fell through onto a platform and Mettaton floats with their jet pack. Frisk turned to look at the puzzle they would face and recognized it from a puzzle Papyrus had used in the past.

When Frisk gets halfway through, "Oh no it seems you ran out of time!~" Two walls of fire close in around them. When it gets a few inches from being able to burn them they stop abruptly and for a split second due to the smoke inhalation they catch a glimpse of Chara holding them apart.

A couple minutes later the walls move back to their invisible place. After they did Frisk entered a fight with Mettaton and for the first time heard a voice much like their own in terms of youthfulness. "How many times are we going to have to fight this guy? I'm getting tired of him."

Frisk looked around trying to find where the voice was coming from, but didn't see anyone. "It must be from the fumes...."

As the fight dragged on Frisk kept hearing that voice at some points of the fight, and eventually Frisk was able to spare Mettaton and continue on. They went up the stares and saw Sans by a restaurant.

"Hey I heard you're going to the core, why don't we chat and eat before ya do," Sans said with his usual smile. Frisk nodded in agreement and the two went inside the restaurant. "You're journey's almost over huh? You must really wanna get home...though maybe you don't want to get to your home you just want out of here."

Frisk looked at him a bit surprised. "Ah, sorry, a bit sad one of my buds are gonna leave." Frisk nods.

Some time after Frisk continued heading for the core, and by doing so, heading towards Asgore's castle. After walking for a while and showing mercy to monsters who fought with them Frisk reached the inside of the core.
