The Yellow Flowers

Chapter 10

Frisk crosses the bridge as Undyne follows them. "Can't.....give up....need to...." She falls onto the bridge dehydrating. Frisk moves onto the land where the bridge connects to and takes a cup of water before pouring it on Undyne.

Undyne stood and looked at Frisk surprised, before suddenly and without explanation leaving them and going back to her domain. Regardless Frisk proceeded down the hall where two soldiers in dark steel armor stood guarding one of the three other paths.

So, because they couldn't go north, they went to the east and into the laboratory that was there.

As they walked through the cold hallways they came to a larger room where a large screen displayed Frisk's face and neck as they walking along the room, but Frisk noticed another in the background.

The child with brown hair, red eyes, and a green and yellow striped shirt.

Frisk looked behind and all around themselves, not seeing the child anywhere but on the screen. They continued through the dark room and hall when they heard a door open and the lights shift on. When their eyes adjusted to the sudden brightness they saw a yellow dinosaur like monster.

As the monster turned and looked at them they jumped, surprised. "Um....h-h-hiya! I'm Dr. Alphys, I'm Asgore's royal scientist! I've Uh....been observing your journey through my console, I was originally going to stop you and take your soul but you don't seem like a threat like other humans."

Frisk nodded, relieved. "I can help guide you through the Hotland and get you to Asgore's castle. But there's just one problem. A long time ago I made a robot named Mettaton, originally he was an entertainment robot. Recently I decided to make him more useful.....anti....human...useful...when I saw you coming I tried removing those features of course! But I made a mistake and now....he's a killing machine with a thirst for human blood..." Alphys said nervously as Frisk's blood ran cold and their hair stood up on the back of their neck.

"Hopefully we won't run into him," just then a large banging sound happened and a robot burst in from the wall and a large flashy sign appeared over him reading 'Game show'. Frisk held in a groan of annoyance as they prepared to play the game the robot had made.

When the game show was over Frisk was still confused why he asked two particular questions.

"Would you smooch a ghost"
And
"Who does Alphys have a crush on"

Frisk didn't understand why the robot Mettaton had asked those questions. The second may have been to embarrass Alphys because she was helping Frisk answer the questions......but why ask the first?

Before Frisk continued to the next room Alphys gave them a new phone, "So I can help you navigate the Hotland, you need one so we can communicate!" She smiles before Frisk continued down the hall, out of the lab, and continued walking through the Hotlands.
