Mark wakes up early the next morning, Around 7am, As he had made plans the day prior to go jet skiing and have a beach day with his teammates.
He slowly climes out of bed as quietly as possible, Pressing three quick but featherlike kisses to the girls cheek trying not to wake Kenzie up, Which he successfully achieved.
He reaches for his phone and wallet placed on her desk and walks out of her room, Shutting her door quietly, And heading downstairs. He looks towards the kitchen as he's met with Jack who's looking into the fridge for a water bottle.
The two just bob their heads back at each other as a "Hi" as Mark proceeds to walk towards the door reaching for the knob, Until he gets a "Bro." from Jack, Causing him to turn around and face him.
"Treat her good. She's a special one." Jack says grabbing the water bottle from the fridge and shutting the door.
"I will." Mark replies nodding his head and exiting the house.
Kenzie wakes up from the sound of the front door shutting, And heads down the stairs as she could no longer fall back asleep.
"Hey." she groans out quietly, Seeing Jack leaned over the countertop scrolling through his phone.
"Hey sleepyhead, What are you doing up so early?" He asks the girl standing at the bottom of the steps who has clearly just woken up, Not being able to open her eyes all the way yet.
"Heard the front door close. I think Mark left." She groans again.
"Yeah, He just left." Jack tells her, Laughing at her tiredness . "Wanna go down the dock?" Jack suggests since the two are already awake and everyone else likes to sleep in.
"Yeah let's go, Just let me just change into my baiting suit." She says putting on a white baiting suit and heading back downstairs to meet Jack.
"Remember when we used to sneak out at six in the morning, And go swim in the lake everyday before everyone woke up?" Jack laughs as the two walk down to the dock.
"And Trevor would snitch on us because he never got woken up and invited." She laughs back reminiscing on that exact memory he was talking about.
"Good times." Jack says, turning his head to look at the girl and then into the distance of the lake.
"Oh my god. What is that in the water?" Jack dramatically shouts, Making Kenzie's head snap into the direction he's looking at.
"What? Where?" Kenzie looks into the distance trying to find whatever Jack is talking about until she feels his cold hands grab her waist and toss her into the lake.
"JACK!" She yells, Brushing her hands over her wet hair, Removing it from her face, As Jack's standing there laughing.
"Alright. Help me back up." She says as Jack reaches out his arms to help her back onto the dock. Kenzie pulls his arm so hard causing him to fall in with her.
"I should've known." He says wrapping his arms around her neck to pretend drown her as the pair laugh.
"I missed this, Kenz." Jack says to the girl in a sweet tone making her smile at him.
"Me too Jack, I missed my best friend a lot." She says as the two held each other for a few seconds.
Everyone back in the house eventually wakes up and goes to the kitchen where they have their morning debriefs of the night before.
"Yo guys look." Cole says standing at the sliding door looking out onto the dock seeing Jack and Kenzie together in the lake.
The rest of them walk over to the door just staring at the two all smiling at the view of Kenzie and Jack being together.
