it's fated
It took them no time to figure out Minho was right about them. Felix and Alaska were soulmates.
However, even after seeing their arms next to each other, it took Felix a while to realise he was actually Laska's soulmate. His first thought was to hug her because of how excited he was, but his second thought was stronger, and the first thing he did was glance at Hyunjin.
Hyunjin looked back at him, not sure what to say until Izzy nudged his shoulder, making him sigh. "Don't look at me, look at my sister," he proclaimed with a quiet chuckle, making Felix turn to the brunette on his side right away.
Hyunjin did the same, turning to his own soulmate, wishing they had found out while he wasn't there. "Can't we just go somewhere else?" He asked, making the girl next to him smile.
"You want to go out now?" He nodded, making Izzy glance at others. "Just...wait a little longer and I am in for a date," she proclaimed, trying to hide the smile that was forming on her lips.
"What if, just listen," Jisung started, shushing down Minho, who was already about to cut him off. "What if one of you girls is my soulmate too?" He looked at Tessa and Riley, finally saying what Izzy was waiting for.
"I bet Riley and Chris are soulmates," Amy said, taking a sip from her latte.
"Don't bet anything again," Hana spoke up, stopping Riley and Amy from another useless bet.
"Why not? I would win this one," Riley joked, trying to ignore everyone's look.
"Are you sure? Because I am sure you have a lot in common," Chris mumbled, chuckling at himself. When he noticed they all heard it, he sighed. "I mean...you are both coffee addicts," he shrugged. "And... have the same initials, jokes and are both Japanese," he blurted out, realising how obvious it actually was this whole time. "Oh..." he mumbled when the dots finally connected, looking at Riley right away.
"Damn, we should have had the bet," Amy mumbled, making Jeongin laugh.
"Wait are- are you serious?" She questioned, glancing at her friends to see if they heard it too.
"Yeah..."
"Another arm checking?" Izzy laughed. "Jisung and Tessa should just check their arms too at this point."
"Surely there's no chance we are all soulmates though, right?" Chris asked, already trying to see if his texts are on Riley's skin too. And they were...
The first thing he noticed was their conversation from yesterday when Riley rant to him about the anime she was watching and he was just there, carefully reading through every message she sent. He knew nothing about that anime, in fact he never heard of it, but seeing her so excited about it made him smile.
"I definitely wouldn't mind if we were," Jisung proclaimed, making the girls chuckle. Alaska nudged Tessa's shoulder, convincing her to see if Izzy's theory wasn't actually right and they were all soulmates.
Tessa didn't want to believe this was all fated. That would be stupid, but also... It would explain why they bumped into each other at that party when they met for the first time. There was no need for them to start chatting and become such close friends, but it happened.
Maybe it was actually fated.
"So..." Chris started when he and Riley were finally alone, ordering Riley another coffee before they would leave.
When Hyunjin and Izzy proclaimed they were leaving together, everyone somehow ended up just leaving with their soulmate to talk about things. Jisung was the most exited to do so, but no one could blame him, Tessa was stunning.
Chris and Riley however stayed in the café, just watching everyone leave, not saying anything.
"I heard you like your soulmate."
Riley glanced at the male next to her, taking her new caramel macchiato. "And where did you hear that?" She questioned, turning around so they could finally leave the café too. "Because it's not true at all."
"I am sure it's not," Chris scoffed as he paid for her coffee. "But maybe a little?"
Riley hid her smile by drinking her coffee before she looked at him again. "Maybe you should buy me coffee again tomorrow and see how it ends," she shrugged, making him smile too. He nodded, agreeing with her on this meet up.
Riley might not want to admit it, but Christopher knew she liked him too.
"Where are we going?" Izzy questioned, following the tall male next to her. Maybe she should have asked that question sooner and not when they've been walking for 15 minutes already, but it didn't bother her until now at all.
"Can I say surprise?" He asked with a small smile, and the brunette nodded. "I promise you'll like it," Hyunjin added, turning to the right where the art museum was located.
"It better be the best date of my life then," she chuckled, making him chuckle too.
"Oh, no, the best dates of your life are gonna come when you actually date me," he winked at her jokingly, making Izzy blush. She smiled at him, he was definitely getting bonus points from her already just for that.
"I look forward to that then."
