As the sunlight gently spilled into the kitchen, they slowly opened their eyes, taking in the familiar surroundings. It was a peaceful morning, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air. Y/N sat up in bed, stretching their limbs and letting out a contented sigh. It had been a whirlwind of emotions lately, but they were grateful for the love and support that surrounded them.

Making their way to the kitchen, they found Poppy busily preparing breakfast. The clinking of pans and the sizzle of bacon filled the air, accompanied by Poppy's soft humming. Y/N leaned against the kitchen table, watching her work with a small smile. Poppy looked up, their eyes meeting with a knowing glint.

"Morning, y/n" Poppy greeted, her voice warm and filled with care. "Sleep well?"

Y/N nodded, their voice still laden with quiet uncertainty. "Yeah, I did. Just... still getting used to all of this, you know?"

Poppy turned off the fire and walked towards them, placing the plate down on the table "I understand, dear. It's a big change, I'm sure you'll get to your home real soon"

They smiled a little, finding comfort in Poppy's presence. The weight of the world seemed to melt away as they reveled in the friendly connection. Breakfast was ready, but Y/N hesitated to break the serene moment. Just as they were about to speak, the front door creaked open.

Home, walked into the kitchen, a bright smile lighting up his face. "Good morning, you two. I went out to take care of something"

They couldn't help but giggle a little as they smiled "Morning, Home. So uh Sleep well?" They try to make a conversation

Home chuckled, making their way to the kitchen table and sitting right beside them "Yep, like a baby! You?"

Y/N's lips curled into a genuine smile. "I did. I think having Poppy's breakfast awaiting me in the morning helps."

Poppy chimed in with a playful smirk, "Well, I aim to please."

The three of them gathered around the table, sharing laughter and delicious food. Though they were still adjusting to this new chapter of their life, for now... As they enjoy the morning breakfast, they place down their spoons and look at Home unsure whether they should've talked about it or not

"Hey, uh Home. I just wondering how can I get back to my homeworld. Like is there any portal around here?"

Home froze for a moment before gulping his food down to his throat before sharing a glance towards Poppy, they seemed nervous. Home chuckles as he wipes his mouth and  looks at the door with a handkerchief before looking toward them

"Ah...you see um" he hesitated as Poppy did the same chuckle nervously

They stare at them in curious, raising their eyebrows slightly "So?.."

Home cleared his throat before nodding back at Poppy and quickly she got up to begin cleaning the empty plates. They were confused at this but stayed silent as they quietly stayed patient in their seats, watching as Home walked towards the small bookshelf near the living room before coming back. He put the huge old book down with a big thud before looking at them

"Are you ready to hear about it? This might be overwhelming after I explain everything"

They stare between the book and him before slowly nodding "Yes, I'm ready"

Home share a look with her again before opening the middle pages. It was dusty, obviously it hadn't been touched for like a year, he coughed softly before continuing. Glancing at the first pages, they could see a picture of a huge metal gate with strange symbols around it, similar to the portal where they were sucked into but much bigger
