*1 Week Later*The sound of thunder could be heard in the distance, just as heavy rain clouds began to roll in. Solàna clutched onto her umbrella, holding it up above her head as she stared straight down at the ground in front of her. Her facial expression was somber, her eyes trying to blink away the tears that kept threatening to come out.
She had spent the last few days going through an emotional roller coaster, to the point where she was mentally exhausted. Being kidnapped and held at gun point by Muwop definitely took a toll on her. She also couldn't get over the fact that she had shot him with his own gun. The trauma from that experience alone was a lot to take in, and she truly didn't know how to handle it.
Solàna seemed to be having deja vu as she gazed down at the casket that was placed infront of her. It was a closed casket which was already lowered 6ft into the ground. There were roses being placed right on top of the casket with people taking turns tossing them in. All of this was just reminding Solàna of Keyanta's funeral a year ago, when they thought that he was dead.
That same anxious feeling she had experienced during that time seemed to have found its way right back to her once again. The only difference is that this funeral was very much real. Unlike Keyanta, the person who was buried in the casket was definitely not coming back to life at all.
This person was gone forever...
The sound of somebody sniffling caught her attention as she looked up. Her eyes instantly landed on Durk who was just a few feet away from her. His facial expression was hard, but she could tell that he had been crying. He kept his head down, eyeing the casket and tossing a single rose on top of it.
