Scrunching up her face a little, Solàna groaned lightly as her eyes fluttered open. She could hear the soft sounds of the alarm on her phone going off. She just frowned, sitting up in bed before grabbing her phone off the night stand.

The time read 7am. It was Monday morning, basically time for her to get ready for work. She just sat there, patting the top of her bonnet with her hand as the events from last night slowly began to flood through her brain.

She began to remember Dayvon, the gun, the police, him killing 2 people, hiding Von in her room from her granny...

She just gasped, quickly sitting up in bed as she peered over towards the floor. Last night, since Von refused to leave until the coast was clear, she made him sleep on the ground right next to her bed. She made sure to give him a bunch of pillows and blankets, but that was as far as she was getting with him.

She fully expected him to still be there in the morning, but to her surprise he was already gone. What shocked her even more was that he folded up all her blankets neatly, placing them at the edge of her bed.

There was also something else...

Solàna just squinted her eyes, spotting something strange that was placed right on top of her dresser across the room. Pressing her lips together, she just slid right out of bed tugging at her shorts before making her way over towards it.

Her eyes just widened as she spotted a very thick stack of cash that was rubber banded together, just sitting neatly on the dresser.

"Oh..."

She muttered, picking it up before examining it. First of all, the money was heavy. She could see that there were nothing but hundred dollar bills in the stack as she ran her fingers through it.
