here's another chapter 😜😜❤️
Solàna stood in front of her mirror in the bathroom with the flatiron in her hand. She was moving her hips slowly as music was playing from her mini speakers. Can't Be Friends by Trey Songz just played softly as she muttered the lyrics to herself. She ran the flatiron down her long bundles, making sure to get every single piece of hair as bone straight as possible.
"And I wish we never did it...
And I wish we never loved it.."
She sang the lyrics quietly to herself, not wanting to wake her granny up. They were able to eat dinner together earlier before Meg went to sleep, leaving Solàna up and getting ready for this party that Crystal wanted her to attend. Now Crystal did say she was on her way, but that was over an hour ago, and that girl was always known for being late.
Solàna just placed the flatiron down, running her fingers through her hair before nodding with approval. She already did her makeup, which was a light beat since she didn't plan on being at this party for long. Even though it was a Friday night, a party was the last place Solàna wanted to be at. She had major social anxiety, especially whenever she was in a space filled with people she didn't really know.
Also, Solàna was very much a homebody.
The sound of her phone vibrating caught her attention as the music cut out. She fully expected for Crystal to be calling her since she was so late with picking her up. Solàna just reached for her phone off the counter, grabbing it before looking at the screen. To her surprise, Duke Dennis's contact name just appeared unexpectedly.
Duke was Solàna's ex boyfriend from back home in Florida. They had dated for 2 years on and off during junior/senior year of high school. Solàna ended up breaking up with him shortly before she ever moved to Chicago. He had been cheating on her constantly, and with her not coming back to Florida anytime soon, Solàna just felt like there was no point in being together with him.
