Solàna found herself once again sitting in the passenger seat of Dayvon's car. She was mentally questioning how she always seemed to end up with Von after every chaotic event.
Either way, here she was sitting quietly without saying a word. In fact, they both were quiet as Von just kept his focus straight onto the road. Solàna's mind was racing. For starters, she just witnessed the murder of her own ex.
Never in a million years did she think she would ever see something like that in her life. It was crazy to her because at one point she thought that she was deeply in love with Duke. All the memories they ever had back in high school just kept flashing in her head.
But she also couldn't seem to wrap her head around the fact that Duke did not hesitate to put his hands on her tonight. Her face was still hurting from the multiple blows she took from him. That was just something she never saw coming. The 2 years that she dated Duke, never did he ever raise a finger at her.
I guess some people just change.
Solàna was feeling conflicted. She truly didn't know how to react as she kept thinking about tonight. She couldn't stop seeing Duke's face and how angry he was with her. He didn't have a single look of remorse on his face after doing what he did. Solàna didn't even want to think about the further harm he could've caused if Dayvon wasn't there to save her in time.
Solàna just wasn't sure if she was even glad that Duke was dead. It was truly a weird situation for her to process.
She just chewed at her cheek before secretly cutting her eyes towards Von. She watched him as he had his focus on the road. He seemed to be in deep thought while gripping the steering wheel with one hand. He let his finger just rub against his chin as he stared off into the distance.
He looked irritated to say the least.
Solàna always wondered how Von was so easily able to just take somebody's life and go on about his day like it was nothing.
