Chapter 11

"Thanks for this dinner, Tae" Jin said while wiping the sides of his lips.

"I am happy you went out with me. I have been busy at work and did not have the time to invite you for dinner earlier this week. I hope we can do this more often." Tae answered.

"This is fun. It's fun talking to you. We can go out for dinners anytime. You can also visit my place if it's just dinner. I can cook for you."

"Really? I would love to taste the food you cook. I heard it's really good!" Tae said sounding so excited and then he realized what he said. "Oh sorry, it's JK who told me."

"I see." Jin said and then he smiled awkwardly at Tae.

"How is he as a neighbor anyway?"

"I guess just fine." Jin shrugged. "He doesn't usually go out and the same actually with me, so we don't really meet at all times."

"I heard from Jimin that you guys had breakfast with him last week."

"Ohh... Jimin..."

"Don't worry too much about my brother. He might look so jealous of you but he is really kind. He is kind to me and Jungkook, I'm sure he will be kind to you if he'll know I want to court you."

Jin spilled the water he was drinking with the words mentioned by Taehyung. He coughed and Taehyun went to his side.

"Sorry did I surprise you?" He said rubbing Jin's back while Jin continued coughing. "Are you okay?"

When Jin was able to calm down, he just nodded at Taehyung and breathe in and out. "Sorry, I just did not expect that."

"I thought I was pretty obvious when I started messaging you." Tae answered with a chuckle.

"Uhm, not really. I thought---well, uhm, that this is just friendly conversation." He said looking at his empty plate.

Taehyung moved back to his seat and held Jin's hand.

Jin froze on the spot.

"Jinnie... I like you. I hope you can think about it." He said, squeezing Jin's hand.

"I-i don't a-actually know." Jin said removing his hand from Tae's hold and rubbing his nape using the same hand.

"Don't worry I won't rush you. We can continue these friendly conversations because I really like it, too."

Jin smiled back but the feeling of uneasiness is already there.

When Jin arrived at home, he was surprised to see a big box at the front of his door. He doesn't remember any request for delivery. When he got closer to the box he saw the cover and realized that it was a telescope. There was a note left at the front:

"I didn't mean to break your telescope. I know how important it is for you. Please accept this even though J know you won't, I am begging you. I won't bother you anymore if you'll keep this. I promise."

Jin just sighed reading the letter. He can't just not accept it after what was mentioned in the letter.

He took it inside the house and assembled it.

He was happy that he can do his night routine again. The telescope is really expensive and he specifically bought it to monitor Saturn's ring which had been one of his nerdly hobby.

He touched the telescope and remembered what happend last Friday night. He touched his lips. He felt those lips... again. The feeling is real.

"3 years... and I still know your lips." He said, with tears falling from his cheeks. "You can still make me feel the same..."

He held on to the reelings of his balcony and can't help but sob.

"I've waited for 3 years..." he just cried again. "And now you'll come back only to be engaged!" He said in a whisper and then just continued crying.

He sat on the floor, bending his knees, reaching his chest and just continued crying.

"I hate you!" He shouted and just hid his face in his hands, then just sobbed.

"Jin is oddly quiet nowadays." Hoseok told Namjoon when he was about to sleep.

"What do you mean, babe?"

"I feel something different about him. That Jungkook guy, he looks at him differently."

"You mean, he likes him?" Namjoon asked.

"No! I mean yes... but on a different level. When we were talking last Friday, it seemed like they've known each other for a long time. Jungkook seemed to know Jin's eating habits and what are his likes and dislikes."

"That's weird, babe. But yeah, I also noticed that but did not really put much attention to it. Do you think they met before or are they just suddenly so close?"

"Not sure really. I think Jin's anxiety when Jungkook invited himself also had a reason." Hoseok answered still thinking about the reactions of the two towards each other.

"Better to talk to Jinnie about it. Why don't you visit him tomorrow. He's also not talking much in our group chat. It's unusual but I thought he was just busy with that Tae guy."

"Hm, something's also not right about that Tae guy."

"I know, babe. But for now, let's sleep first or would you like me to change what you are thinking before you sleep?" Namjoon said while smirking.

"Pervert!" Hoseok said while slapping Namjoon's chest.

"You still owe me this weekend." Namjoon said who started kissing Hoseok's collarbone.

"I swear my muscle man, if you ever won't let me walk tomorrow I will put you on time out!"

"Let's see about that, babe!" He said winking at Hoseok.
