Y/N charged toward the hand demon, only to be propelled into the distance by an unknown force.
What the fuck. Y/N grunted as she slammed into a tree and fell to the ground. This has to be the work of a blood demon art. No normal wind could knock someone into a tree. But normally the lowest ranked demons are captured for the final Selection, but it's possible that one's like these could've been captured as well.
Y/N gripped her sword tight and glared around, when suddenly, a malicious presence appeared from behind her.
Y/N dodged at the last second. She whirled around and came face to face with another demon.
"Aargh! Why are you goddamn slayers so persistent in killing us?" The demon demanded. "We're living things, too, ya know. We need food to survive, too! You slayers only care about your pathetic species!"
The demon raised its hand and sent a huge gust of wind directed at Y/N. This time, Y/N was ready for it. She jumped into the air released Serpent Breathing, First form.
"Winding Serpent Slash!" The demon dodged the attack, and in a split second appeared behind Y/N, ready to strike. Y/N whirled around and kicked the demon in the gut, which sent him flying into a tree. It, unfortunately, got up quickly. Y/N leaped toward the demon and unleashed Serpent Breathing, Fourth Form.
"Twin-headed reptile!" Y/N sent two horizontal slashes at the demon. The attack connected, and the demon fell to the ground, groaning. It still manged to get up, but this time, Y/N was faster.
"Serpent Breathing, Third Form: Coil Choke!" Y/N circled the demon and attempted to cut his neck from various angles, and this time, she succeeded.
The demon's head fell to the groud as its body began to crumble. Y/N shot the decapitated head a nasty look, and she raised her sword once more.
She kicked the head into the air and sliced it into pieces. Tears began to form in her eyes. Angry tears.
"Killing innocent people, even if it's for the sake of your own life, is just ..... unforgivable!" She muttered. "That's right. I'm mad at your kind. Demons are a species that feed on the lives of innocent people. Your kind took my life away. Kibutsuji Muzan. I swear, we will kill you."
