Obanai's POV
"Ack! Oh! Sorry! I'm so sorry! Uh, can you help me? I got lost..."
Obanai grunted a bit as he bumped into a strange woman.
Stupid woman. Stay away from me. He thought, memories of his past replaying in his head. He looked up at the girl.
She was taller than him, which wasn't surprising since his body was much more puny than most men his age.
He met the girl's eyes. They were a beautiful bright green. He found himself wanting to get lost inside them. Her smile, it seemed to rival the sun itself. Her most distinguishing feature though, was her cherry blossom pink hair that faded into a lighter green, like her eyes.
"Oh, um....yeah, sure...whatever...just....follow me..." Obanai said in his usual brooding voice, trying to avoid the fact that he was still blushing. The girl smiled at him.
"Thank you."
Thank you. The words rang inside his head. He felt his heart racing. He found it difficult to maintain total concentration constant. And something else, in his stomach...butterflies?
Obanai led the girl out of Ubayashiki's mansion. He then turned to walk away, but then she spoke.
"Wait, I didn't quite catch your name.." she said, her voice, sweet as ever.
"Obanai Iguro. Serpent Hashira." He said, letting Kaburamaru face her. To his surprise, Kaburamaru wasn't as hostile to her.
"Hashira? That's so cool! I'm Mitsuri Kanroji, the newly appointed Love Hashira! It's a pleasure meeting a fellow Hashira, I hope we see eachother again soon!" Mitsuri said. She was a very lively person, from what he could tell.
Obanai smiled slightly under his mask. He watched her leave, wishing he could've conversed with her a bit longer. As she waved him goodbye, he felt his heart skip a beat. Could he be falling for this strange, yet kind woman? No, he couldn't. Women were all the same...just like his family....

Obanai went back to his estate, onlynhalf aware of where he was going, his thoughtful centred around the woman with pink and green hair.As he walked in, he didn't seem to notice Y/N and Isamu training. Y/N, however, seemed to notice her mentor acting...dazed? Was this a dream? Was that even Obanai? Never once in her life has she seen Obanai dazed.
Y/N caught sight of Isamu staring at Obanai, his mouth agape. He seemed to have noticed Obanai's strange behaviour as well.
"Is Iguro-san even aware of where he's heading...?" He asked, his tone a bit uneasy. "He's usually so uptight..."
Y/N furrowed her brows as she watched Obanai enter the estate. "Come on." She said, grabbing Isamu's hand and dragging him towards the door.
Y/N burst in through the door, dragging Isamu behind her as she walked up to Iguro. She crept up behind him.
"Get a grip on yourself!" Y/N exclaimed, a little louder than necessary. Hearing her voice, Obanai jumped slightly and immediately turned around.
"What?!" He said, steeling his voice to not sound strained.
Y/N raised an eyebrow at him. "What are doing, walking around all doe eyed?" Y/N demanded.
Obanai composed himself. "That is none of your concern, Y/N..." He said defensively.
Y/N rolled her eyes in response, but dropped it, nonetheless. "Oh, fine...piece of shit..." she muttered that last part under her breath so no one could hear her.
Y/N walked away, dragging Isamu aling with her. She cast a look at Obanai that said: 'I'm gonna find out what you're hiding'
Obanai sighed. Y/N had a hard time letting things go, especially her past. Maybe that girl, Kanroji, would get along with her. Loosen her up a bit. He thought.
Maybe one of these days...
