FYI I definitely listened to the song I added while writing the club scene in this chapter, so feel free to play it when you get to that part. It sets the vibes!! <3

Alessio waited for me like he said he was going to.

He waited for exactly two hours and thirty five minutes.

Did I take extra long clocking out just so he could wait longer. Yes. I did. Did he look irritated with me when I walked out, again yes in fact he did.

"You got off ten minutes ago," he stated when I stopped in front of the table he was sitting at, his legs were spread and he looked up at me, gray eyes settling on my lips for a split second before he looked me in my eyes.

"Should've went home then," I mumbled under my breath, not sounding the least bit concerned at all.

Maybe I should've been happier I was going out with Alessio, free food, free drinks and information?

I should be happy. But I wasn't. Even though Alessio was attractive didn't mean I wanted to hang out with him.

He stood abruptly and I had to take a sudden step back. His scent clung from around me. He smelt earthly, like woods and everything manly. I tried my hardest not to get sucked into it.

"Anyone ever tell you not to poke the bear?" He asked quietly, staring down at me. I was taller than most women, but Alessio still had four or more inches on me.

I hated that.

"Yes. You just did," I replied. He stared down at me, eyes narrowed.

Then he the corner of his lips turned up and he rubbed his jaw. I ignored the skip in my chest as he did that, then he stepped forward again but I didn't move. I didn't give him that power.

"Well are we leaving or not?" I asked, keeping eye contact with him.

He nodded, but I didn't move right away. Stuck in the presence of him, until I blinked and backed up.

I turned and we began to walk out the cafe. It was dark out already and it was chilly, making it so inconvenient that I had a skirt on. The street was deserted, not a car or a single person in sight. Which was usual, the only noise we could hear was from blocks over.

"You always have this attitude with people?" He asked, stopping suddenly just when the doors closed behind us. I almost crashed into him and I had to steady myself as he turned around to look at me. I didn't expect him to look so mad, but I didn't react. Instead I straightened my shoulders and looked him straight in his eyes.

"You always ask former strippers you stalk to go on dates?" I snapped back. Even though I really wasn't a stipper, I still worked in a strip club. Still got touched by gross men and still had to show off my body for money.

He went quiet for a second and I watched every feature on his beautiful face turn even more serious. He clenched his jaw, eyes darkening every second we stood there. Inches from each other.
