"Do you think my dad will ever come find me?" Avia asked quietly from her spot next to me on the cold ground. I thought she was sleeping, but who am I kidding. No one could sleep in this room.

I looked over at her, she was wrapped up in one of my jackets. But yet I could still see her shaking.

"He's looking," I told her because it was true.

What was Davao thinking kidnapping a girl from the Bertelli's? I get they were in war but he was just fucking everything up for me.

Damnit, if Declan had kept his anger under wraps and hadn't shot up The Cafe then we all wouldn't be having his problem. Avia would be home, where she belonged.

As soon as Alessio showed me that video tape I knew right away it was Avia. And, shit thinking of Alessio made me even more pissed. He drove me absolutely insane and I was hanging on by a thread with him. The asshole had the audacity to fucking fire me? Just because he couldn't keep his hands off me if he saw me everyday? Because that's exactly what it seemed like to me.

But whatever spark there was between me and Alessio needed to go out and lucky for both of us, that definitely wasn't the last time he would see me. Not until I got my job finished at least. And no matter how many times I tried to forget him and his stupidly good looking face and gray eyes it never worked. I still thought of him and they weren't very appropriate thoughts either.

I just needed him out of my head and then I'd be fine.

I leaned my head back, staring at the ceiling.

"How do you know he's looking for me?" Avia whispered. Something in my chest cracked for her.

"Because he loves you," I mumbled, looking at her I smiled. Her eyes got a little teary but she nodded anyway. If her father wasn't looking for her I knew Alessio was. He'd find her and I'd help him, even if it was just secretly. I'd make sure to point him in the right direction beneath a mask and hope for the best.

If I could I'd take her to them right now, but as I lifted my head and looked around the room. All these girls needed to go home and I didn't know where home was for them. Declan refused to tell me where they bought them and I had lashed out at him and asked why it was so hard to take them back if it was so easy to buy them.

The fucker looked at me and laughed, told me to leave the men to do their jobs. If this is what they call a job then they are all fucking pussies. Buying innocent little girls didn't make them men. It made them cowards that would do anything for money and power.

A sudden bang echoed through the room from down the hall. Avia jumped, "hey. It's okay." I told her gently and even the rest of the girls that instantly folded into themselves for protection.

"Fuck! Fuck!" Declan yelled loudly from the office just a few doors down. Another bang broke the silence in the room, it sounded like he threw a chair or something.
